A little history after this 6-5 win - the series between the schools goes back to 1894 HC now leads the series 97-55-1 and that's 6 in a row for the Good Guys

Weekend series at Lehigh starts today at 3 - three 9 inning games Fri-Sun Mtn Hawks are in last place at 6-12 and we're 9-9 - these are the final 3 road games and obviously very important (4 at home next weekend) Army and Navy seem secure in the 1 and 2 spots, leaving the other 4 to fight it out for the final 2 playoff positions

Saved by Don "Fullpack" Stanhouse? (Oriole reliever Earl Weaver nicknamed as the jams he got in and out of spiked Earl's nicotine habit)

Current standings Army- 13-7 Navy- 15-9 HC- 10-10 Bucknell- 11-13 Lafayette- 8-12 Lehigh- 7-13
Does anyone know why Navy is listed always with an asterisk after its name ?

Good news is that it shears Needham is healthy. He was nails today saving the game! Honorable Mention PoW for this last weekend: Jake Needham, Holy Cross, So., RHP, Winchester, Mass./Phillips Academy Andover *In two relief appearances spanning 4.0 innings, Needham held opponents scoreless on two hits with four strikeouts. He earned his first career save against Lafayette on Sunday, striking out two batters to get out of a bases-loaded, one-out situation before throwing two more scoreless innings

Five more PL games left for us.
Going 2-3 will almost assuredly get us in.
Going 1-4 and we'd still have a decent chance.
In all likelihood, we are looking at a trip to Annapolis in the 2 v. 3 first round series. Beats going to West Point.

11-2 T3.
We’ve all but punched our ticket to the playoffs. Now it comes down to positioning.

If scores hold up from today’s games, Lehigh and Lafayette will almost assuredly be done.
Bucknell will have finished the PL regular season at 12-13. So long as we finish with 12 wins, we’ll beat Bucknell with the head to head tiebreaker.
Just a question of whether we are going to Annapolis or West Point now.
