Will be there with a block of tickets. BTW, did those who ordered tickets through the school receive their tickets yet?

While there are very few "must win" games for teams and coaches, I think this is one of them. Lose this game and we are off to a 1-4 start, with the toughest part of the schedule left to play. That may be too big a hill to climb. On the other hand, if we win this week and take care of business at home against Bucknell next week, we are back at .500 with a little momentum going into Harvard game and the rest of the PL season. I don't think there has been as important a game for HC football in a long time.

Did we move up a spot or 2? I seem to recall us at #34 previously.

Fr. McFarland said a beautiful mass yesterday in the chapel at Regis High School in Manhattan for the 7 HC Alums and all others lost on 9/11. It was very well attended. It really is hard to believe it has been 15 years. The length of time struck me yesterday when I attended an interfaith prayer service last evening in my small Westchester suburb, where we lost 10 people on 9/11. My little town has 5 houses of worship and not one clergy member was living in our town on 9/11. Similarly, only one member of our fire department is still working who also was working at that time. Members of this year's freshman class at Holy Cross will have no memory of that day as they were only three years old.

Having two kids at HC graduating in '12 and '15, I saw that the Crusader really had fallen on hard times. It did not appear to be printed weekly (IIRC, only a few times a semester) and the quality wasn't great. It may have fallen out of favor because college students don't read newspapers much. If there is one thing kids do less than read newspapers, it is listen to FM radio. Most kids get their music from Spotify or Pandora or other internet connections. Also, with so much video streaming of sports content, there are few kids today listening to sports on the radio. All that being said, it is a sad turn of events, and I hope the school can give opportunities for online publications going forward.

While I would love to beat Syracuse, I'm hoping our experience playing Syracuse has some positives that help us with other very difficult OOC games and really makes our PL season a strong one from the start. I agree that a strong OOC schedule will help with recruiting, especially if we can steal a few wins, or play very competitively against top tier teams.

Congrats to this year's graduates. Having lived through it twice in recent years (2012 and 2015) there are few things in life as wonderful as seeing your child graduate from Holy Cross.
