ANYONE WANT TO BET HE STARTS hUSEK NEXT GAME? I think he will..It's not who starts the game, it is who plays well!

ANYONE WANT TO BET HE STARTS hUSEK NEXT GAME? Why would it matter? Floyd brings in energy from the bench, much as Green did last year - then starting in the PL Tournament.

Best game I have seen AT play in 3 years. You could tell in the first two minutes that AT was on his game. He had a certain "bounce" to his step that I have not seen from him in quite a while.

Two random comments on the game:
1) I thought it was a bush league move by Reed to press and trap the walk-ons when the game was clearly way out of reach
2) Any reason Matt Z did not get any minutes today?

Wonder if Pat Andree considered missing the bus and transferring to HC after the game.

Any reason Matt Z did not get any minutes today? Regression? Have posted before about the nosedive in Ziggy's minutes and performance since the OOC of his freshman season. It's continuing. LeSann has played more than Ziggy in conference action this year - over last 14 games, MZ is 2-12 with 2 assists and 7 TOs.

The first time he got stuck with the ball in his hands and the shot clock winding down, he saw a clear lane to the basket; drove and laid it in. Then a couple minutes later, pulled up for a 15 footer and made it. Big plays at a point in the game where no one was making a shot.

AT also had a terrific, leaping OR in the second half to keep possession, then swished a three-pointer with the extra chance. By the way, Ant had as many offensive boards as Kempton.

Even if he starts MH and replaces him by JF, the foregone points could determine the winner. CBC doesn't do everything EVERYTHING he can to WIN. WHY is it so important to start Husek?? (I will discount Hoops' answer as he is a coaching colleague of CBC's and will therefore defend the coaching "book.") For one small thing, it's not fair to JF's talent and hard work not to recognize it to the max. Don't worry about MH's feelings. He'll still get his quarter million dollar pay check.

When Husek is on, his 3s can be deadly and his height on the perimeter helps to open the inside game. Starting him and having him take a couple of long shots is what can establish that game. If he is cold, then bring in JF to spice things up.

Sarasota, Ask Red Auerbach why he didn't start Luscotoff, Hondo, Ramsey, etc' or ask Steve Kerr why he does not start Iguadola O , but they are in the coaching fraternity also.

haven't posted much recently due to the biased poison that is the 2017 dynamic duo, but heck of a win today! nice to see ant playing well in the last few games of his career as we are a completely different team with good point guard play like he had today.
let's get that 4th seed and a pl tournament home game!

Well, maybe Carmody remembers a year ago (1/16/16) in the Hart Center as to how handle the league MVP:
FGs - Husek 8/11 Kempton 7/8 3 Pts - Husek 4/6 Kempton 0/0 FTs - Husek 3/4 Kempton 6/7 Rebs - Husek 2 Kempton 7 Tot Pts - Husek 23 Kempton 20 Asts - Husek 1 Kempton 0 TOs - Husek 0 Kempton 2 Blks - Husek 0 Kemtpn 0 Stls - Husek 0 Kempton 1
Against the best player in the league, that was a very serviceable job. No question Matt did not do as well today but Kempton was often double and triple teamed and very frustrated resulting in his well deserved technical.
As for the "quiet crowd," I was there and maybe on TV they lower the background noise. It was plenty loud and a good-sized crowd considering the weather. And the enthusiasm was there as well . . . . especially when Kempton got his T.

Kempton is such a whining prima donna. I love the insight about how he points to a teammate to assign the blame after he makes a bad pass. We know about his father's side of the family, but I did some research on the full family tree; I think his mother was a McCaffrey.......
