Were there many students in attendance ? Attendance listed as 1876. From the camera shots (clear, but from a distance, showing all of the Hart Center) it appeared at least half of that was students.

I am always really reluctant to be critical of individual opposing players (especially if I am at the game), but I must say - Kempton makes it very very difficult for me. Just acts so entitled.
We may not have as much talent as them, and they may shoot the ball better......but I think we have the edge in poise. In the PLT, if we play them and keep the game tight, I like our chances.
Really happy for AnT. I know he doesn't have many friends here, but as I've said before, who can possibly feel worse for the way things have gone for him than AnT himself? I don't think I've ever seen him leap so high as he did on that O board. And like the team, he may not be as talented as some of his opponents today, but if there is a loose ball in a key situation, my money will be on him to come away with it.
Disappointed to hear the crowd noise didn't make it to the telecast - I thought it was a pretty good atmosphere, although yes, there appeared to be some students there posing as mannequins.
Do we still have a shot at 2nd?

Not as many as you would hope for a Sunday afternoon, nationally televised game. I would guesstimate about 40% of the stands on the concession side (west) were filled and the opposite side is always mostly the band and cheerleaders. Official attendance was 1,876 and I would have said about 1,500, half full +/- was about right.
Our defense was excellent all afternoon, offense was spotty but these stats stand out for me: rebounds (where we always seem to lose big): Lehigh 32, Crusaders 31. Steals: Lehigh 3, HC 12. Turnovers: Lehigh 15, HC 9.
Lehigh hit only 29.2% from the floor to our 45.5%. Their 3's were only 5 for 25, 20%.

With only a 3 point edge for HC at the half, and Lehigh then closing to one point early in the 2nd half, I was fearing that things might drop quickly. The guys kept their poise and steadily moved away - adding to their lead. I taped the game and will be watching it a few times as a reminder of what these guys can do when they are on their game!

If you assume Bucknell beats Colgate in Lewisburg on Monday, here is what the standings will look like with 4 games to play:
1. Bucknell 12-2 2. Navy 10-4 3. BU 10-4 4. Dr. Reed's Criers 8-6 T5 Colgate 7-7 T5 Loyola 7-7 T5 HC 7-7 T8 AU 3-11 T8. Army 3-11 T8. Lafayette 3-11
Our remaining games are Army, @american, Loyola, BU. To finish higher than fourth, we'd need to run the table and have BU lose at least two of its other 3 (@colgate, Bucknell, @army). Not sure what the tiebreaker would be at that point. We'd both be 0-2 against Bucknell and 1-1 against Navy. Or Navy could lose 3 of 4 (@lehigh, Army, American, @bucknell) and hope we win the tiebreaker.

Karl Charles the "Man of the Game" and taking nothing away from KC, who played well, the player who should have won was AT. Isn't that right, Dave? Ant played like he was a freshman again. Now, for almost any other senior, that would be an insult but in this case, well deserved high praise. Kudos, Ant!

I had the opportunity to meet AnT at a tailgate during a football game this fall, and spoke with him for a bit. A nicer kid and better representative for Holy Cross you cannot find. He's had his ups and downs playing, mostly due to injuries, but he leaves it all on the court. It's a shame that some here find it difficult to root for him. He had a very good game today, and if that continues, good things will happen.

That was the best I've seen them play all season. They moved the ball well and actually showed purposeful hustle. Where's that been all season?

No word yet from caro---- must be busy writing up his commentary on Bill Carmody's coaching master strokes today. What a great win for the Crusaders!!!! Couldn't watch the game (see 13's posts about this atrocious TV contract), but sounded like a nice win against a horribly coached team. I wish I could get ahead of myself like others when a 13-14 team beats a 14-11 team, but we still have a loooong way to go. That crazy concept of playing defense seemed to work out today, huh? Interesting. Maybe we should be more focused on using Floyd to defend the paint rather than using Husek to chuck 3's.

Shooting 3's is not the same as "chucking" 3's...but perhaps it is to some posters. Husek has the third highest number of 3's on the team (after MA and RC). He has hit 32 three point shots this year (same number as AT, but taking 20 fewer shots than him) for 39% accuracy.

Now Kempton b*tching at his teammates - starting to understand better why they can't finish at the end of the season. Zero chemistry - notice that they seem to hardly talk on defense Have heard very similar things down here at AU about Kempton/teammates. Seems like a lot of entitlement in that locker room; would indeed go a long way toward explaining why they continue to underachieve.

Seems like a lot of entitlement in that locker room; would indeed go a long way toward explaining why they continue to underachieve. Interesting sequence after Kempton committed the technical and went to the bench for three minutes. After he checked back in, in next four possessions over 2+ minutes . . . Cohen misfired on a three, Alston missed a three, Price missed a three, and Andree missed a three. Shots for each of his four teammates - no shots for TK, and minimal touches. In fact, Kempton attempted only two shots the rest of the way. Bad coaching, a message, or both?

This game can be of benefit to the program..A national audience, recruits all over the country could tune in and see it..A Sunday noon game, not much else going on..I had a friend in Florida text me during the game, he was watching...and the Hart center looks great on TV!

I DVR'd the game and will watch it later to try to judge the noise/enthusiasm level on TV vs. "live and in person." I know what you guys have said from your view on TV but from my vantage point at the Hart, it was loud and boisterous and supportive. Other Crossporters were also there (NAD, 8485, 45, Tom, others) . Was I hearing things? Or maybe it was just me cheering and I thought that was other people?

If the noise does not come across on TV, how loud can it be ? The gym was a little over half filled.
