American clobbers Navy by 16, Army tops BU by 9. I certainly did not foresee either of those two outcomes....

My second and third sons were trying to figure it out. They claim that we finish fourth if we win, Navy loses, Colgate wins and Loyola loses. We beat Colgate twice and Navy beat Loyola twice so we need Colgate to finish above Loyola according to their theory. No idea if that is correct. Loyola finishes at home vs. American. Colgate hosts Lafayette.

MA passed Billy Doran tonight to move into 21st place on the all-time HC scoring list. He's 52 points behind Gene Doyle in 20th place.

Geno was a great ballplayer in my opinion---outstanding rebounder, very athletic, could even bring the ball up court after ripping down a rebound. I recall some last second game winning baskets he made--great in the clutch. In his spare time he was President of the IHC one year

Navy-HC split. Navy has wins vs. Lehigh, BU. HC could have same. Navy beat Loyola twice. I checked the boys' math. I think they were close but wrong. If we win, Navy loses to Bucknell and Colgate beats Lafayette, I think we're #4 regardless of what Loyola does. Colgate beat Loyola twice so they would finish ahead in the event both teams wind up tied. Because we went 2-0 against Colgate, we'd win the tiebreaker with Navy who went 1-1 against Colgate. If Colgate loses, we'd also need Loyola to lose to American.

A terrific hs player for Cardinal Hayes,in the Bronx, Doyle was a fine recruit for Jack Donohue due to Jack's NY Catholic league connections.

Can't help with Bucknell and Colgate but both of those teams should be the favorite in their games.

And even though bucknell has locked up the league, they're playing to get a 14 seed in the dance.

Back from the game and see MA was "Man of the Match." A better game for him than what he has been doing the last 4-5 games but MH is still the stat stuffer with 12 points in 19 minutes and didn't miss a shot - 5 for 5 from the floor and 2 for 2 from the line with 3 rebs,an assist and a steal and, again, no turnovers. PB hitting two bank shots as the shot clock going off was just clutch. I think the "end game" tonight showed CWC's superior coaching skills than his last 2 predecessors which I just think would have lost this game for us. Nice to have won this game but, really guys, was it necessary to make it this close?

And even though Bucknell has locked up the league regular season title, ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶'̶r̶e̶ ̶p̶l̶a̶y̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶e̶t̶ ̶a̶ ̶1̶4̶ ̶s̶e̶e̶d̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶d̶a̶n̶c̶e̶, they're playing to get a better seed in the NIT.

I hope we do not let inbounder roll the ball to midcourt to save seconds Having two fouls to waste in the last 3.9 seconds was a key...and HC didn't even get to use the second one.

2016 is in a deficit position because a kid transfered to HCC. Of the other two I'm not sure but either could contribute some and still have the worst class in a coon'S age. If kostecka had come we'd have a SG coming off the bench who is pretty good. SOV how many did he have against us last time, 20? BTW coach will shut him down tonight. That's what my crystal ball suggests. I think Kostecka got 7...didn't start although he was supposed to be in the starting lineup. As the game wore on, they didn't find him very much and/or HC kept him from being wide open.

Our 2 pt fg tonight--18-29 Has to be our best of the season By far ? Believe it or not it was our 6th best 2PT PCTG of the season behind our games vs SC State (16/22=.727 was best of the year so far), Quinnipiac, Marist, Army, and Lafayette

Why did CBC take Benzan out at the two minute mark? At the nine minute mark, when our offense was struggling and Loyola making their run, why did we go into our incessant weave that never produces anything?
