Which player will produce? I think before all is said and done both Stevens and LeSann will produce. I'm not saying either will be Chris Potter, but they will give us something

I think we may have seen this before (believe hchoops may have presented it) but here's a list of 1,000 point scorers who scored under 100 points as freshmen. I'm not suggesting that Jack Stevens or Clayton LeSann will become 1,000 point scorers, but you never know:
93/1,268= Billy Doran had 93 as a freshman (this surprised me) of 1,268 points in his career. What a ballplayer he was in hoops and in baseball too 79/1,246= Tim Clifford 66/1,000+= Robert Champion 51/1,013= Malcolm Miller 50/1,337= Bill Walker 42/1,112= Marty Halsey 18/1,035 = Ted Bettencourt

Not writing off LeSann or Stevens, but . . . while Benzan has made a great leap forward, Zignorski has leaped backward. It can work both ways.

It can indeed go both way. The only way to know for sure about a player is often with 20/20 hindsight.

Many of us saw potential with Pat because he was a big scorer in hs and worked his tail off this summer. But he has exceeded our expectations.

CLS btw has already contributed. He pulled our chestnuts out of the fire in the first Army game. But he has trouble catching and controlling the ball. He is awfully thin. Defense? Feggedabout it.
Maybe JS can contribute by the time he's a senior. He looks awfully comfortable sitting at the end of the bench with the walk-ons.
Love to see both of them contribute, but hopefully this frosh crew to make us forget Siudut, et al, will make that unnecessary.

This may have been the worst scholarship recruiting class ever. How does this jive with your latest post ? if LeSann is too thin , could he not get stronger over the years ? It has been done. few freshmen play strong d. interesting that you are making a judgment on Jack based on how he sits on the bench

Why do you think JS won't be able to contribute until his senior year? MH didn't look good as a freshman. A lot of big men in the PL aren't ready to come in freshman year and make a difference. I wouldn't rule out JS making progress and contributing before his senior year.

Basketball is easy when you make 2/3 of your shots.

Basketball is easy when you make 2/3 of your shots. Especially when the offense is run effectively and thus allows you many short shots, most of which you make, plus two terrific shot clock backboard buzzer beaters by Pat
