I doubt that this is correct.

I know that Heinsohn definitely started many and that Togo probably started some with the Syracuse Nats.

Witts could have made a spot start or two.

And how about Kevin Stacom? . . . . . . . Sorry, I couldn't resist.

And how about Kevin Stacom? . . . . . . . Sorry, I couldn't resist. He would have had to make four starts to count as one for HC since he transferred after his freshman year. Or was it after his sophomore year?

Witts could have made a spot start or two. He started a game against the Celtics and if I recall had 13 pts

Malcolm played the first 7 minutes of the game and then did not return. 1 assist, 1 turnover, 0-1 FG. Raptors improve to 5-0 in games he starts.

The Raptors won again without three regular starters. Nick Nurse has done a terrific job.

Did he get hurt? Seems odd he would start the game and never return. Nurse is a terrific coach turned a bunch of perennial playoff chokers into champions last year, of course having Kawhi helped.

I doubt that this is correct. Is it possible that when you look at old stats on line that they didn't track games started and the Raptor guy just glanced at stats of guys he knew. Ilooked at a few different web sites that show zero games started for Cousy If starts weren't tracked as an official start, you'd have to do some decent research to find others (although you think they could have come up with at least double HoF'er Heinsohn). Kaftan averaged 14.5 points his rookie year. I wouldn't be shocked if his old college coach started him at some point that season

In this case, that might not hold true. I can't speak much for the Bullets, but following the Celtics closely in those days I don't believe the top 5 started. The normal starting line-up would have been Ford instead of McHale. Even if they shook things up, they wouldn't have started 4 forwards and only 1 guard. If Ford didn't start for some reason, way more likely Henderson would have started than McHale. Bird had the passing skills of a guard, but I would bet that the first 5 Celtics on that box score were never in a game at the same time. If the Celtic half of the box doesn't have the starters in the first 5 spots, Witts name in the 4th spot isn't solid proof that he started that night. He might have started, but I don't think that particular box score is proof of it

The players are not listed in order of minutes played in the game. That leads me to conclude that the first five players listed in the box score were the five who started the game.

I'm not sure what order they're listed in, but as far as the Celtics part of that box, the first five listed are not the starters
