Raymond brought back on NYJ practice squad per Brian Costello of the NYP. Seems like not the best situation for Kalif but it's a check and an opportunity to continue to practice at a quasi-NFL level. Would be almost impossible for the Jets to put him back on the 53 without a riot among their few remaining fans. I guess when they're 0-12, no one will care and maybe he gets another shot. There are definitely much worse jobs two years out of college. The kids and I will keep pulling for him and hoping he gets another shot. While it was painful to hear, KR did gain the distinction of becoming the first Crusader alum in a very long time to be important enough to get roasted by callers on NY Sports Talk Radio. I think we'll see him again this season. Glass half full: when he didn't drop the ball, he had one of the best return averages in the NFL through 2 weeks. And by all journalistic accounts, he's proven to be a coach-able player, open to criticism and a humble yet extremely hardworking teammate. These qualities will hopefully get him back between the hashes on Sundays.

From SNY:
The Jets re-signed KR/WR Kalif Raymond to their practice squad after cutting him earlier in the week.
Raymond muffing a punt during the Jets' loss to the raiders in Oakland.
"He's got some tools to develop," coach Todd Bowles said on Thursday. "There are some things we like about him with his speed and catch radius as a receiver, so he's worth bringing back."
Bowles indicated Raymond would likely remain on the practice squad but added that there's still a chance he could make the active roster.

Just saw that Kalif was cut from the Jets practice squad on a Friday to make room for a former Texans cornerback.

Kalif just signed to the Giants practice squad..... Best news ever! Go Big Blue. Hopefully he gets promoted to the 53 man to give me a reason to watch the rest of the season.

With Beckham and Marshall our for the season, maybe Kalif will get some reps as a receiver as well

From SNY's Ralph Vacchiano:
The Giants will be promoting WR/KR Kalif Raymond from their practice squad today, according to a source.

Broncos fumbled punt! Patriots ball! Should have kept KR. From AUGUST 8th, barely into training camp: McKenzie has 5 fumbles this year. Not that Kalif had a great brief stint for the Jets, but it just speaks to how awful a lot of coaches in the NFL are right now.

After one fair catch, Kalif muffed the next chance but recovered it. Not good for his longevity in the league. Hopefully, he gets a chance to make a big play in the second half.

Not a bad day but nothing spectacular. Good to see him get in on offense for a few plays. Hopefully the muff doesn’t cost him. I didn’t see it. There was a lot of talk of swirling winds so hopefully they give him a pass.

Catching a pass in a Giant win. That puts Kalif on a very short list this year!

Kalif was only on the field for two offensive snaps and got them ball on both plays. Hoping he has a big game on Thanksgiving and holds onto the ball. Short week probably helping him as it would have been tough to move a new guy in if they were concerned about his muff.

The Giants are so putrid they make the Jets smell like roses.

Fielded the second one cleanly with a defender standing on top of him. Probably should have signaled fair catch. Maybe one yard on the return but then the Giants got flagged for an illegal block in the back.

Little disappointing that Chris C said Giants have no speed in their WRs and mentioned two of them but not Kalif who I think has faster times than they quoted for the other two. The Giants are definitely not throwing downfield.
