In regards to PB and CG playing together, we may not be thinking what Coach Carm may be thinking. This year, JF is playing a lot more (for obvious reasons). When PB is out there, you have 2 of your 5 guys with a weakness of shooting jump shots. Could be that he has become reluctant to play them both together for extended periods. So early on maybe he said to himself "ok, Caleb is coming along fine, I can try to get another shooter in there with him". And it backfired. Just a thought.

Road record is very discouraging. 3-19 on the road in regular-season conference play since Carmody took over. Obviously, the wondrous tournament run in 2016 suggests that kind of futility isn't etched in stone. Have to believe youth a factor contributing to our dismal road record this year.

Not a single of the NNNs will admit that because it makes too much sense. Sure, it would be great to have more than 3 upperclassmmen contributing, but that only can be attributed to the coach's failure to keep Milan's players and recruits around. It also would be far too simple to think that all these frosh minutes are going to pay dividends over the next three years or that other players will develop at all or that subsequent recruiting classes could be better than what we have now. That said, the coach needs to find a way to get his sophs to contribute; it's a lot of wasted scholarship money otherwise. Cohen likely would have been a contributor, but you cannot blame the coach for what happened there. Cheers.

Controlling stat Overall: 4 - 12 Conference: 1 - 4 Home: 3 - 3 Away: 1 - 7 Neutral: 0 - 2 Our record is indicative of our youth. Funny how some people are disavowing the import of seniors to PL teams...even to the point of mocking the frosh for not doing better. It is a joke. Cheers.

Sure, it would be great to have more than 3 upperclassmmen contributing, but that only can be attributed to the coach's failure to keep Milan's players and recruits around. It’s not just about your straw man regarding Milan’s players. Carmody has 5 opportunities to bring in players who would have lessened the load for the current frosh, and only 1 has been a strong contributor, who has not developed at all since his frosh year. None of Carmody’s other recruits have developed to date. Making a blanket statement that the 6 frosh (only 1 of which has played with even some level of consistency this year) will all greatly improve just because they’re playing as frosh is quite naive. If you want to take look around Cohen’s twitter page (without kids in the room ... I would not link it here because some material is highly inappropriate) you will very clearly see that he was a horrible fit for Holy Cross. We have lost 60% of our games with Bill Carmody as the head coach, and our play has regressed steadily over the past year and a half. Enough with the excuses.

Funny how some pretend that we had a great year last year with seniors on the roster and are just rebuilding from that.

I wonder what the reaction on this board would have been if one of Brown's recruits was tossed out of school before the first semester was over. Somehow I don't think it would have been, well you can't blame the coach for that.

Need to do something with the soon to be senior Schollie. Also need to determine if soon to be juniors are part of the plan. RW had players he had to make the tough talk to. If carm stays, he need 1 or 2 players next year. If zero recruits, I say he retires. JMO

In any event, he does not have to leave for his scholarship to open up...cognoscenti would know that. And, honestly, it's about time. Nothing against the kid, but get him money from elsewhere and open up the schollie. As to disgruntlement with a losing program, now you know why people were so unhappy with Milan...and he never even danced. Shame. Cheers.

Dekker Mckeever, Riley Criswell knew physically they couldn’t contribute, but stayed at the school and their scholarship was reused to help the program. This program needs basketball players who can play basketball!

Anyone who ends up at a junior college after being at Holy Cross didn't belong at Holy Cross in the first place. Knowing absolutely nothing besides that I couldn't tell you whose fault that was. Yes, pretty good chance some of the blame lies with the coaching staff.

I was also referring to situations like Ralph Okafor, Kris Clemens, Zack Paterick, Greg Richter and to some extent Mark Jerez (was given the talk and stepped up his last two years) Some players are recruited that can’t cut it at this level and they move on or just become students.

Check the W/L records. Prior to the magical PLC run, which clearly was an aberration, HC was 0 for road games. “Making shots” is harder in an unfamiliar gym. Do you have any basis for that Cohen comment? Doesn’t seem like he’s having much basketball success post HC.

The recruiting priority for this year needs to be a replacement for JF—-6’7-6’9 225 rebounder that can play as a freshman—tough ask in this world of recruiting but a few options are available. The other positions are fine as long CG relaxes a bit and has fun playing. The 2-3-5 roles in this system are just fine
