Isn't it a joy to see our guys practicing in a nice indoor practice field when the snow is still flying? And the baseball team is outside playing a doubleheader

Two different place kickers have been special teams player of the week so it looks like competition for the spot will be strong --and that's before Ng arrives on campus

Good for McArdell and Beatty who have seen limited actions so far in their careers

I see someone with that name listed as an assistant coach at Tufts--a recent graduate of that school. Perhaps he is a new employee at HC, brought over by Coach Murphy?? His LinkedIn page states he has been at HC since February /

I am curious because he is not listed among the football coaching staff on the HC Football web page, and he is not listed in the Holy Cross Athletics Staff Directory.
It's possible he is not listed on the coaching staff because this would be a "non-field" position, but other sports have "director of operations" or volunteers shown on the Staff Directory.
I am assuming that this is a new position; as far as I know (which isn't very far) I've never seen anyone filling such a position in the past.

He graduated from Tufts in 2017, His role at Tufts appeared to be similar to Billy B's role at the USNA for his father: break down film. I think his role is akin to being a graduate assistant.
From a year ago profile on a Tufts site, it indicated it wanted to pursue a graduate degree at Tufts.

Saturday's weather forecast has been getting worse by the hour. Two days ago it was sunny and 70 - now it's 40 pct chance of rain and a high temp in the afternoon of 57. (weekend baseball vs. bucknell might not finish on sunday as it's supposed to rain with temps only in the 30's by then)
I'm disgusted with this spring weather.

I went to the clinic held by the HC coaches today, as well as practice. It was a great afternoon.
Not sure if it's been mentioned here before, but Chesney mentioned Maryland and West Virginia (and a 3rd, maybe Pitt?) as future 1a opponents. (As well as the cuse, navy, and BC games that we know of.)

No need to play schools like Maryland and West Virginia imo....stupid "body bags" game imo....we have historical/regional/institutional ties to P5 schools like Syracuse and BC (obviously) so those games make sense but going to Morgantown and losing decisively is just plain dumb imo.

The players love these games and they are a recruiting tool. Sorry you can't grasp that.

IMHO if we're going to play an FBS team each year - not necessarily a terrible idea - I'd like to see ones with a possibility of fan interest/attendance such as UMass, UConn, BC, Army, Navy, etc. Of course, it takes two to tango.

Well Coach Chesney will have to ramp up the wins and get the players if we are going to schedule these behemoths.

Who is going to the spring game tomorrow? Playing in Fitton rather than the past on the practice field on top of the hill. If you think Fitton looks empty during a game, what'll it look like tomorrow?
Anyway, hope the weather is good.

Nothing wrong with playing Maryland and WV. Should basketball not play UNC, Duke or Kansas? Would be nice if it were BC every year but that isn't going to happen. I guess people want to play Pioneer league teams instead? This is how you attract recruits and up the program....and get some coin while you're at it.
