On Saturday, Massey makes Bucknell a 10 point favorite (75-65) and gives them an 83% chance for the win.

The Bison have already clinched the regular season Patriot League title. No question this is a LOOOONG shot. Can HC's "magnificent seven" (or 8 or 9?) get this done at home after losing by 21 (77-56) at Bucknell?

Since the is the last time that HC will face Thomas, Foulland and Brown in regular season, an HC win would clearly make this memorable.

Hopefully the crowd will be a large and enthusiastic one. I'll be there '70! Even if the students are too young to know / remember that Bucknell is supposed to be one of our top basketball rivals, a Saturday game against the Patriot League's best should add up to close to 3,000 in attendance. Not to mention, we've won six out of our last nine games.

Everyone needs to remember that this game tips off at 12 noon. Get there early and enjoy the game-day ambience.

No question this is a LOOOONG shot. I disagree on the numbers of "O"s you've got there, rgs. Not trying to play the sand-bagging, reverse jinx gambit, but I think this game could be interesting. As you say, the Bison have clinched. Moreover, they don't always come out of the box all that quickly. You guys are playing much, much better. Throw in a decent crowd and who knows. I'll give you LONG - possibly LOONG - but two "O"s are as much as you get.

Our Freshmen have played almost a full season now..Austin, Grandi, Caleb and Faw have had quite a bit of court time and now are producing at both ends of the court..Copeland has shown the ability to hit an outside shot, hopefully he will be ready to get back on the court Saturday..Connor started out the season getting a lot of PT, and suddenly didn't get in much, not sure if he was dinged up or just not getting "it"...I noticed in the Army game how weak his D was, especially when guarding the post..He plays with confidence on the wing, and looks like he will also be a solid contributor on offense in the near future... Can this group now succeed in the PL tourney? Get the team through at least one round? I think Saturday will tell a lot about this group, just how far have they come..

There are certainly plenty of things the team does not excel at, and improvement is needed going forward. One thing I think I am liking (not found on the KenPom site, but courtesy of NADPomegranate): the team seems to be collectively (and gradually) developing a sense of confidence. You can see it in their faces; lots of positive gestures towards each other late in games. I may be wrong, but it seems like when they have a lead near the games, they do a really nice job of keeping their composure, and closing things out. I admit that last night when you could see AB wanted the flush on that breakaway, I was having a coronary. But what onions for a young kid! And even when they had that rough 2 minute stretch near the end of the BU game, I never felt like they were panicking; to me it almost seemed like they were too eager with wanting to break the door down and finish the game with a bang. We may not have any superstars here, but it seems like they have a real chance to gel into something at some point. With that, I think we should create a party atmosphere Saturday! Short notice, but maybe I'll see if I can get a hold of cfrivals, and ask him to crank out some "Carm's Rump Swabs" t-shirts!

Nothing really new from the Coaches Show...Coach said in the last month or so they have simplified what they are doing, and the players are "getting it".

Only mention of number of players was Lutsz asking Coach if was tough playing only 7 vs Army...Coach smiled and said "No, it was easy for me..." Nothing else said about the roster..

At this stage of the season few teams play much 5 on 5 If they need to, Freddie Owens looks in decent shape, maybe joe Kennedy also.

How are we conducting practices without 10 players? Skeletons and break down drills..Not much new being added right now..and conditioning isn't a problem..I'm sure there are intramural players who would love to help out...UMass played last night and used a football player who practiced once with the team, and a manager..Injuries there

Two quick points on the coaches' show:
1. CBC's comment about decision making was in response to a question about how hard it was to decide on substitution patterns using only 7 players. His response was in line with his dry sense of humor. We need to realize that not much will be forthcoming from him (in a public forum) about internal issues...much Like a Patriot coach we know so well.
2. "No mention of the fact that we are down to three healthy, non-Frosh scholarship players?" Why would there be such a mention? We read on Crossports about how in 2 or 3 years (or whatever number a poster chooses) HC will be at a real disadvantage with the players we have. What you point out here makes it seem that the majority of scholarship player will be playing for HC for years to come. To me that seems to be good news. Why would he exclude all of the frosh to focus on a small part of the current team?

No idea. There is no special tv coverage, other than Stadium (streaming). Is the the Patriot League Network (Stadium) trying to spread out the PL games?
