Does anyone know the situation with our head coach? Will he be back or not? No job posting on holycross.edu that I could find.

There was this tweet several days ago.
The Inside Lacrosse article that is mentioned contains the following:
"IL reported that Holy Cross placed coach Judd Lattimore on administrative leave in March. When contacted for an update this week, an athletics department spokesperson said, “In regards to coach Lattimore, we are evaluating a personnel matter and the College cannot comment on personnel matters. Unfortunately we do not have any more information at this time. In regards to the interim head coach, no coach was named during coach Lattimore's absence.”
However, sources tell IL that a pool of candidates has been narrowed to four candidates and the process is underway."

They must think that if they just don’t announce anything about the Lacrosse coach or Basketball miscreants, nobody will even notice that anything happened.

The 'pards filled their lax position with Patrick Myers who was the associate head coach at Penn Ironically Pat Myers was the replacement for Judd Lattimore at Penn when Lattimore was hired by HC. Further, both had previously been assistants at both UNC and Bucknell.

After winning the league title in 2015, three losing seasons and HC beat the 'gate in each of those years. Sorry to say but that will put pressure on a coach given our lax history.

Burke was a midfielder at Bucknell, graduating in 2014. Played his HS lax at St. Sebastian's.

So we are going to have a 26-year old running the lax program?

He was the players’ choice Guess we are hedging our bets naming him an interim coach

Well, why is Nate making him only an interim coach? Giving him the interim tag kills the next year of recruiting. Also, what assistant is going to want to work for a coach who's 1) 26 years old, and 2) not exactly in a very stable position?
Either give Peter Burke the job or don't. Very weak by Nate Pine.

So we are going to have a 26-year old running the lax program? And no announcement on Lattimore? Is anyone on the Hill holding the athletic department accountable these days?

I think its a very good opportunity for a young coach. I like his bio, but mostly Bucknell is very similar to HC. They have zero scholarships and his coach at Bucknell has been very successful. I have heard nothing but positive things about Burke. Continue to hear the phrase "class act" to describe him. The players play for him undoubtedly, they came alive at the end of the season 3-2 under him with a close loss to Navy. The lack of information about JL and the time this all took tells us this was a major problem. Just the pure fact that Burke took this job after JL was put on Admin Leave tells you there was an issue with JL. Not to mention not a word or notice has been said about him in 3 months. Colgate's coach, just resigned and moved on so he is destine for another D1 spot.
Good for Coach Burke, he deserves a chance to move the program forward, in the $100 Million Facility.

This is all well and good, so hire him as the head coach without the interim tag.

Here is hoping that Interim Head Coach Peter Burke gets off to such a strong start that the "interim" tag is temporary. Those who wanted eager, young head coaches should be most pleased. Those who want to hash over (and rehash) possible coaching candidtes may not be pleased, but if he had been named head coach immediately, then there would have been some who complained about the lack of an in-depth search.

Interesting that the other assistant moved on to Colby as an assistant. I would think, at best, that would be a lateral.

There’s a reason Pine announced this news on Friday afternoon before a holiday week...

Aren’t there like 55 D1 lax teams? Something tells me that this is somewhat of a desirable position just due to supply and demand. The fact we landed on a 26 year old is dumbfounding. Is this position like $80k?
