There is now a placeholder for the 2018-19 Roster on the website. It is currently empty, as is the 2018-19 staff page with the exception of the newly-hired Jeremy Freeman. Hopefully, the team will fill in the blanks soon (this week?), so that we can finally see what's what. Click on the link below for updates.

Why wouldn't the roster be set at this point? The 2017-18 roster was posted on July 3rd last year.

I'm guessing it gets posted in the next few days. Delaying for weeks or months only makes the program look worse than it does now. |

Don’t know why, but other than football, there are no 2018-19 rosters posted. I wouldn’t read too much into it.

Would love to understand why these web pages don't get updated in "real time". Announce a coaching change, make the update on the web site. Last I checked, Scott is still on the staff

The 2017-18 roster was posted on July 3rd, 2017 - the first weekday of the month. The 2016-17 roster was posted on July 1st, 2016 - the first weekday of the month.
Let's see what happens tomorrow.

Might we wait until such a delay as you described actually happens? Tuesday would be the same date when the roster was updated last year. Let's see. There may be a delay of weeks, but there may not. Try not to waste anxiety on "possible" future events. |

Ummmm. Maternity leave typically does not mean working part time from home.
That said, assume they had plenty of notice to plan what responsibilities and how they would be covered in her absence. If she is due back by say the beginning August, I could see them waiting on posting rosters until then, or at least deferring everything but the Fall sports until then.

Ok maybe I'm expecting a lot, but Scott left over two months ago. Is there no one employed at HC, and working on campus, that knows how to update a web site? Think they might consider retiree volunteers to help out?

Lou, Where is Joe Scott listed? If you are referring to the bottom of the ‘17-‘18 roster, he was a coach in the season. They still list Ralph Willard and his staff at the bottom of the ‘06-‘07 roster When I click “coaches” at the top of the Men’s BB page I get Jeremy Freeman as the sole coach listed www.goholycross.com/SportSelect.dbml?&DB_OEM_ID=33100&SPID=157228&SPSID=917387Not sure about the process they use for editing these pages, but it would appear there is some level of automation and/or editing done/published on a server live to the public. Would suggest they not do editing to a live server but it appears they are in the middle of whatever process they use right now. |

Is there any drama left? I thought we were reasonably certain of everything and the team was going into next year with 12 scholarships. The official roster won't tell us if going with fewer than maximum scholarships is self imposed or NCAA imposed.
The only possible question is if somehow the suspended players were deemed to have different levels of culpability and only one of them is gone and the team is at 13 scholarships. I think this is a remote possibility at best. On the other hand, I suppose there's something comforting about seeing it in writing

First weekday of the month, and it's up. Perkins is listed as on the team. Stevens and Charles are not

I wonder why D.J. Hart's bio does not state that his father played for HC???
I guess there is more work to be done as last year's highlights are not included
