He has time to come to a decision with the coaches on that. In any case, I hope he has a great senior year. He has certainly paid his dues.

I doubt it unless he has a fantastic senior year [br0] I am still amazed at how good your proxy server is. It still shows you as not posting since November 16, yet you have at least 150 posts since said date. Must be some fancy FBI software. Btw, just call the coach and ask him why TC is out. You should get an answer. Might not be the answer you want, but you will get an answer nonetheless. Cheers.

In reference to a potential redshirt for Perkins, I would expect that a decision will be made sooner rather than later. It would give him time to set the academics for a double major. You still need a non-basketball reason to be hanging around the hill (unless he drops out for a semester)
As with RJ Evans, we learned a red shirt year might not be in Worcester. All the more reason to get that moving so he has options some the spring of 2019

All the more reason to get that moving so he has options some the spring of 2019 As basketball overlaps semester, if you drop for a semester, then you have to choose which semester to return. In the Harvard exam cheating scandal, the hoop player(s) elected to drop for two semesters, so he(they) would have two semesters of eligibility. (IIRC, the suspension penalty was only one semester, which worked out okay for those who were playing a one semester sport.)

It all depends on the coach and what he thinks the kid can produce. If MP is projected as #9, why give him another year for that. Hopefully he returns 100% from all his injuries and starts next year. Then coming back in year 5 is a no brainer for the coach. Red shirts are not given out easily.

At HC it is more about academics than hoops as far as coming back for a 5th year..There are no post grad degrees offered, so a player has to have 2 minors to stay academically eligible...That was one of the reasons RJ didn't come back for a 5th year, maybe not the most important reason, but still part of the deal....

It's all up to what you can produce on the floor for the coach to offer. If you're not gonne be a producer, why waste a scholarship year?Complicated for you to decide whether or not to accept if offered. RJ wanted to play elsewhere, primarily.

We also reportedly had some level of contact with Calvin Whipple, a 6'3" wing from Northfield Mount Hermon. Not sure if we'll have renewed interest now that we have an open spot.

I only mention him because he's from my town, and I saw him at the Hart last year talking to Togo, but Chris Doherty will certainly be playing D-1 somewhere. Don't think he's the typical Carmody player (mostly plays around the basket, like JF), but he's productive and intense. www.newenglandrecruitingreport.com/recruits/chris-doherty-2018His NERR ranking has dropped (missed time last year) - after his frosh year was ranked 3rd in NE in his class, I believe.
