AU gets a 2018 commitment Sunday night from Josh Alexander, a 6-8 power forward from Iona Prep in New York. Had PL offers from Boston, Colgate and Lafayette, along with several non-PLs including Siena, Wagner, Columbia, Stony Brook, New Hampshire, Quinnipiac and Towson. Averaged 13 points and 7 rebounds as a junior last season. Had taken unofficial visits to several schools, including St. John's and Lehigh; committed after an official to AU this weekend.

I saw him last season. He has some skills and a pretty big upside. Maybe play a little as a frosh, then steadily improve. I am happy for Brennan, a real good guy who has been decimated by transfers

BU scored a couple of commitments last night from the west coast:
Jordan Guest, 6'9, 235 lb PF, from Rancho Santa Margarita, CA (Orange County) Fletcher Tynen 6'5, 190 SF, from Torrance, CA (LA County)
Both recruits had good offer lists so there is some excitement about the potential both have with Guest being advertised as post-threat and Tynen being touted as a high IQ player and versatile defender. In addition, we have another player in the class from California in Garrett Pascoe, a 6'3, 165, CG from Concord (Bay Area), who was starting to add some offers before a quick commitment to us in early August. I would imagine BU will be making a trip or two to California in the OOC schedule in the next 4 years, which will be a fun change. BU still has 3 slots left to fill for this 2018 class if we want to fill them through recruits and transfers, so this class is still only half done.

Fantastic recruiting but still need more to catch up with the other bu No doubt. I think everyone expects Bucknell to run away with it this year, but things should open up when that all-time great PL class graduates. Unfortunately for us, we also have 5 seniors graduate and 0 juniors this year so we might be not the team that capitalizes on it next year.

I did not realize we weren't the only ones in this predicament.

Lehigh looks like it got a pretty decent prospect yesterday in 6-10, 265-pound center Nic Lynch from Seattle Prep in Washington. Listed three-star by ESPN. Offered by the University of Washington, both by the old Lorenzo Romar staff and the new Mike Hopkins staff. Reported other offers from Washington State, Toledo and Columbia. From the tape I've seen he's a pretty effective low-post guy that gets great position and uses his strength to seal defenders behind him. I wouldn't say a Kempton clone, but certainly in the mold.

Does Lynch have Kempton's whining, mewling, and sulking ability? How will Lehigh replace that?

I’m sure Dr. Reed can coach him up.
