More than an SRO crowd at both the Hart Center and Conte Forum combined? More seriously, 25,000.

How about 25K listed as 31.8? BC's inflated their attendance the past few years big time. Copying Holy Cross in that regard.

How about 25K listed as 31.8? BC's inflated their attendance the past few years big time. Copying Holy Cross in that regard. BC and HC are far from the only two who do it. It's widespread across every revenue sport in both college and professional who report tickets sold as actual attendance.

There was about 23k for a Harvard HC night game a few years back as I recall. I’d have to say fans in the seats 27.5k, reported 32k.

Comparing the upcoming game against a previously well attended away game for HC, there were about 23k for a Harvard vs HC night game a few years back as I recall. Accountig for the similarities and differences between FCS Harvard, and BCS BC and their respective stadia, I’d predict that the upcoming game between HC and BC at Alumni Stadium will have roughly 27.5k actual fans in the seats, and BC will inflate that number to around 32k when it publishes the data. There are some real wise asses on the board at times.

I think BC v NC State football attendance (announced) was 33K last year. That was a pretty talented ACC foe. I'm thinking an announced crowd of 24k for BC v HC.
2 years ago at Gillette Stadium in good weather BC v UMass was 25K. announced. Don't know how many BC v UMass will draw at BC this year on BC's opening day.

I think it's going to crack 30K legitimately. There are a lot of us old fogies (particularly on the HC side) who have looked forward to this game for years. HC-BC was always an event even when the football rivalry became lopsided during the 70s and 80s. I think you'll even have a fair amount of BC people coming out for nostalgia's sake.
Weather always a wildcard....but a decent day weather-wise, not too hot or rainy.....I'll go 36,562.
Pig roast given by some 87ers (formah DB Vespo being one) at 20 Greycliff Rd in Brighton (nearly abuts BC) pre-game if you want to stop by.

It's very possible there are more HC fans than BC fans at the game.

It's very possible there are more HC fans than BC fans at the game. Highly unlikely, unless BC fans decide to start rooting for us at some point during the game.

New England college football attendance is not just a problem at BC. UConn is also struggling to attract fans to its home games at 40,642 seat Rentschler Field:

It's very possible there are more HC fans than BC fans at the game. That sounds reasonable given that BC students aren't gonna get excited about attending an FCS game, have no memory (nor do many of their parents) of a time when the two teams played competitive games - not that that actually matters in terms of deciding to attend, and may have many better things to do in Boston on a Saturday. BC Alums may have gotten their fill of noncompetitive games the previous week v UMass at Alumni stadium. And casual Boston fans of good football may very well pass up this ACC (FBS) v PL (FCS) matchup that has all the makings of a very one-sided affair that may be noncompetitive early. For older HC alums it may be trip down memory lane to see a HC v BC matchup and for younger HC fans it is a convenient road trip from Worcester. I know the BC season ticket holders who don't show skew the numbers but it would not surprise me at all if HC outnumbers BC at the game in terms of actual fannies in the seats.

I'm not sure if HC fans will be there in greater numbers than BC fans but if the UConn game last year is a predictor, we'll have 35%-40% of the fans there and much more enthusiastic so that it will appear to be a neutral field.

Sections O and L in Alumni Stadium are the reserved block for visitor tix....approximately 2 - 2,500 seats. HC has announced those tix have been sold out.
I'm guessing 31,800 but let's assume only 24,000 show. At 35% for HC would roughly = 8,400 Crusaders with 15,600 Eagle fans.
8,400 - 2,500 = 5,900 other sold tix to HC fans ( much less expensive ) in primarily upper deck seats on the visitor side.
We shall see....
BEAT BC !

With all the pre-season hype/expectations, I think we can expect much more than 15,600 BC fans to attend.

I think they will.....I think many BC fans (particularly those on the younger side) were shocked by our support today.
Who are these people?
It wasn't just us old fogies here there either....heartened to see a lot of younger alums/students there today as well.
