Like five hundred lawyers at the bottom of the ocean . . . it's a great start. Hopefully, there will be more men's basketball (and hockey) in future seasons. Certainly, a nice boost for the women's program right out of the gate.

foir those of us outside New England, without NESN's channels will we get to see these games ? answers ? Based on the article, it looks like they'll still be broadcast on the Patriot League network. No idea if they'll do their own broadcast or just pick up the NESN one though.

"For those who live outside the NESN market, live streaming of these games will be available through the Patriot League Network." Still wondering why our schedule page doesn't include a video or watch link

Glad for the program and definitely a boost. People will will surf by NESN (not so much NESN Plus)
Selfishly speaking, I wish they were doing some road games.
For those from outside New England, NESN Plus has been traditionally an overflow channel for those early/late season days when the Sox and Bruins play at the same time. Unless things are changing, very limited programming other than NESN overflow

Not sure I get this comment by Pine. How does this help nationally?
Nathan Pine. “NESN’s reach and reputation, coupled with our first-class productions, will enhance the Holy Cross brand regionally and nationally.

A nice idea in principle, but in reality, with a Wednesday night game vs Colgate as the only men's game actually on NESN, this is pretty meaningless.
Nobody is going to be seeking out games on NESN Plus who wouldn't already be watching on the PL Network, and the women's basketball & hockey games on NESN will draw minimal eyeballs.

sorry, meant fios and time warner (spectrum) are included in the list posted above, Optimum is not. Hope it works out. Getting the PLN on TV through Apple TV is fine for me

I'm happy because I can DVR the games and watch them an hour or so later on a given night. Very difficult to do that with the PLN...I'm always messing things up and jumping ahead to the live action.
And when I watch later I don't make the same knee-jerk comments I would make in the middle of a live game. So, I'm more responsible for my actions, not in the heat of the moment.

Based on the article, it looks like they'll still be broadcast on the Patriot League network. No idea if they'll do their own broadcast or just pick up the NESN one though. They will be HC productions just using NESN as the outlet, so the PL Net broadcast is what you'll see on NESN and its variants.

To be honest, given HC's history in New England kind of sad that we had to scrounge our way onto NESN -- still, it is progress no matter the details.
