Colgate was down by just three at the half, and tied five minutes into the second stanza, before Syracuse blew it open.

In one of the best early season games I can remember, the Zags beat the nba dukies by 2. Both teams should be better by March, the Zags get Tillie back soon, the nba freshmen will improve. Stay tuned and watch Gonzaga. i have a feeling this is the year they could win it all.

Based on what I witnessed today at URI along with the fact that Holy Cross easily handled Stony Brook, I would think the Crusaders should be a healthy favorite at the DCU Center two weeks from today.

So far this young season 5-1 Stony Brook has beaten (among others) George Washington, South Carolina, and URI. Our victory over them looks better and better. (As someone who watches all the SBU games, I was pleasantly surprised Holy Cross won. I do think SBU is better than the predicted T-4 in the America East)

Even with those impressive wins, Stony Brook is at 177 in Pomeroy We are at 158 That loss to us must be weighing heavily against them

URI was a solid favorite before the season started (on KenPom) but HC pulled even a day or two ago. Now HC is 55% to beat URI... To show you how things change, HC was #158 an hour ago as hoops reported and is now #157.

Among HC's seven remaining OOC opponents, only UMass (137) and Harvard (102) have higher KenPom ratings now. And URI beat Harvard.
Don't recall any poster predicting we'd be 9-4 going into league play . . .

Siena had been playing everyone pretty competitively (still real surprised by this)....I expect a much tougher game in a couple of weeks. I'm also concerned about there possibly being more Siena fans in the gym, given how well they travel.
