Any news on this front? Still early but it's kind of a down time now pre-camp...just curious if anyone has heard anything.
Be curious what the coaches are telling recruits who we are possibly playing non-league down the road.

Do you think we made a quick deal with UConn which is looking for opponents next season and beyond ?

Arte's dead? He must have finally succumbed to Ruth Buzzi belting him with her pocket book.

sadly, yeah...passed away fairly recently... Yeah, July 3, 2019. Holiday week certainly swept that death under the rug. Not many notable cast members left: Buzzi, Goldie Hawn, Joann Worley.

Something has to happen at UConn as far as football. They’ve lost tons of money since moving up, and a bowl game made that worse a few years back. UMass is on that track too. Have the Huskies announced a new league yet for the pigskin? The MAC has been an island of misfit teams, and a better geographic match than Conference USA, where coaches in trouble go to resurrect careers.

Although only loosely related to this topic, I note that yesterday Princeton announced that the Tigers would be playing at Army in 2020. No date is given. I believe this is PU's first game against an FBS opponent since 1986, when they lost at home to Northwestern. Given this late change to the Army schedule, I wonder which FCS team was bumped?

I actually read that the Tigers were likely to bump their game with Monmouth from the schedule. Army's only two open dates for 2020 were the week of Oct 10 and Oct 31. Oct 31 would not be feasible, as the Ivy is well into their conference schedule by then. Tigers are scheduled to play Monmouth on Oct 10 which is an easy swap out. Hopefully they can help Monmouth fill that slot with a suitable opponent.

Boston College just announced game vs. HC in 2023. Also home and homes with UConn and Army in future years.

Buffalo is a weird game to have.
Should be competitive again them at least with the opportunity for a win.

HC played Buffalo in 1970--the year after the hepatitis hiatus--in a game that some described as a matchup of the worst teams in D-1. HC ended the season 0-10-1 while Buffalo finished 2-9

Buffalo is pretty good. Just not a name or a conference or a destination that excites anyone.

Buffalo is pretty good. Just not a name or a conference or a destination that excites anyone. And anyone who thinks Yale Bowl is an awful place to watch a game, try UB Stadium....if possible, it's worse.

Buffalo is pretty good. Just not a name or a conference or a destination that excites anyone. We used to play them regularly a long time ago. As in the early/mid 60’s. And they have been good recently.
