I guess Nate has a bit more "optional" time available for the weight room and in training at Kentucky than he did at Bucknell! Who'd a thunk it?

Nate ended up playing 31 minutes. Shot 2-2 on twos and 1-2 on threes, along with 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, and no turnovers. In Kentucky's annual Blue-White game a couple of weeks ago, he had 22 points.
As for his weight, one issue is that at Bucknell he was asked to perform as an undersized center. He needed some bulk to bang with bigger centers and box them out. At Kentucky, their plan from Day one was to limit him to his natural position, which is PF. Thus he didn't need the bulk and getting quicker was the priority.

On the Kentucky pre-game show tonight broadcasters Dave Baker and Rex Chapman told about the Bucknell Bison returning from the win over Fairfield and listening to(watching?) the Kentucky-Michigan State game on their bus. Sestina hit a big shot or grabbed a board or did something big and the Bison exploded to the point where the bus driver pulled the bus over thinking something was wrong...… Nice story, true or not. Big Blue Nation is in love with Nate Sestina

Sestina, from what I’ve seen, is an easy guy to like.
Too bad hchoops can’t appreciate him and his game this season.

Not reading minds. You said you cannot root for Sestina this seaso. I cannot root for any team or player that is under a coach who has led two different schools to vacate Final Four berths due to cheating. And who has been voted by his peers as one of the two biggest cheaters in the profession.

So because I cannot root for him means that I cannot appreciate him ? Did you take any logic classes at HC ? You did not answer my question of why you feel the need to address me

Sestina started again and had 12 points, 11 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 assists, and 2 blocks in 30 minutes in an easy win vs Eastern Kentucky. Through two games, Nate leads Kentucky in minutes played and in rebounds.

Strong senior year at Bucknell (most likely) leads to a good European league Strong senior year at Kentucky (conceivably) leads to an NBA training camp
Good luck to Nate. The coach who sought a copyright on the phrase "Refuse to Lose" instead of leaving it with the UMass BB program finds a new way to go one and done with a skilled player.

Nate has started every game and was playing 70% of their minutes. His Pomeroy Orating is over 120 and his defensive rebounding rate is high. Hopefully he is able to return quickly.
