I heard, second hand hand, that Hardin is a throwback PF, but closer to 6’5 than 6’6 Ky do you have any additional info? I'll be on the lookout for them in the Courier-Journal now that I know the names. Scotty Draud finished #23 in points per game with 22.9 PPG on 198 2's, 63 3's, 170 FT's Trevor Hardin finished #40 with 9.3 rebounds per game and #21 with a .640 fg pctg I read where Draud has already scored over 2,000 points heading into his season year. Obviously, he can put the ball in the basket. From the little I read about Hardin, he sounded a bit like the “Bull in the China Shop” as Bob Gamere used to say when describing the play of Keith Hochstein back in the day.

It would be great to see another Hochstein-type player suiting up again for HolyCross.

Off of those films, I'd say Hardin is reasonably close to 6-6.

For both these Kentucky prospects, I would like to see some AAU film. The opponents on these tapes look weak.

Hopefully that is because Draud and Hardin made them look weak with their strong play, even though they are not. Keith Hochstein and Mike Vincens made more than one opponent look that way.

I'm trying to find out what class these schools are in-- 1A, 2A, 3A, etc. One would think that should be easy to find but I am having no luck. According to MaxPreps Beechwood HS (Draud) was ranked #39 of 281 high schools in KY and had a 20-11 record. Henry County was 13-13 and ranked #174. I know they are not in the highest division (6A is highest I think) and I'm guessing they noth could be in 4A. I'll keep looking Okay--we may be there. I found the schools' football divisions and perhaps basketball is in the same dic=vision?? Henry County= 3A . 6A is the highest division with the huge schools Beechwood= A So that means Beechwood is in the lowest division with the smallest schools

Of the 13 sports in which the KHSAA sanctions state championships, only three are organized in multiple classes—cross-country, football, and track.”

They playing any defense down there, KY? Kentucky has 120 counties and 4.5MM population. There are dozens of counties with population under 20,000, Connecticut, in contrast, has 8 counties and 3.6MM population. I think every county wants to have its own high school, as a matter of civic pride, although there are a few regional high schools. The leading scorer average about 28PPG and comes from little Casey County--so I think it could be a matter of a small school playing other small schools so that a good player (maybe a potential D-3 college prospect, not even a future D-1 star) comes up against some pretty weak competition. I'll bet some of these smaller schools have 6-2 or 6-3 centers. A 6-5 kid with some talent would be pretty hard to stop. In addition, of course, this is one of the basketball capitals of the world, so the kids hone their skills non-stop from a young age in hopes of playing for Coach Cal at UK...…...

Based on the current roster it looks as if the walk on spots are saved for Commonwealth residents

JMU made a coaching change 4 days before the shutdown, hired the head coach from Georgia Southern (Sun Belt).

6’6 Lucas Taylor (Heritage High School/Garner Road 3SSB) Taylor has made steady progress in his game over the last 2-3 years and its showing dividends in his production along with his recruitment level. He’s emerged as the kind of modern day wing that can find a role within a rotation on so many rosters due to the skillset he brings to the table. Taylor has shown the combination of perimeter shooting and defensive versatility that is valued so highly in modern basketball. He sports a wiry frame with excellent instincts on the offensive end while moving without the basketball. The kid finds a way to get open and shoot a high percentage from the perimeter. With the strong interior presence of Will Felton (Keep an eye out for part two) on this G-Road squad Taylor had a chance to be a beneficiary of playing with a go to big that knows how to find his shooters on the perimeter when the defense collapses and if the travel season can somehow return, expect that to be a dynamic duo for this program. Taylor has made considerable strides in his ability to create offense and has shown great consistency as an off the dribble jump shooter when he brings that out of the bag. Taylor currently holds offers from Hofstra, ECU, and Wofford. Expect that list to grow among mid-majors considerably, even beyond the east coast. I also wouldn’t be surprised at all to see high majors to become more and more intrigued as Taylor continues to showcase his tantalizing skillset.

Quron Zene, a 6-5 SG on our "interest" list, has committed to Columbia.

What does "reached out" mean? I don't think that is an offer, but is it opening a line of communication in that direction?
