Watching FIU, who UNH played competitively last week, play at Louisiana Tech now. Playing tough, up 24-20 in 3rd.
I know you can't get caught up in these Team A beat Team B who beat Team C scenarios, but I think it bodes well for us in general .

I am afraid some are still; of the mentality (reinforced for years now) that when HC wins against an Ooc opponent, it must be because that team is not really that good. That can cause overwhelming pessimism if the losses are seen as huge. but the wins do not mean much because if we won, our opponent cannot be that good. According to Massey, UNH is still ranked above HC (UNH = 50 / HC = 58). Yes, HC did beat a team that may not be as strong as in some previous years, but that was still a good win (and an upset).
Now let's see them do it again against an even stronger team (according to ranking) today at Yale! GO CROSS GO!
PS: Just signed up for ESPN+ - easy to do And it is good for a month so it will cover Brown and (if carried. by ESPN+) Harvard in the same month.

Just checking now...no idea how the game played out yet but it was just 38-33 Cuse after 3 quarters.
They will be very formidable obviously but they may not be as good as once thought.
Delaware had to come back to beat Penn btw 28-27. The Ivies are no joke these days.

Agree completely. Ivy v CAA can be quite competitive.

ACTP's two favorite FBS programs both remained at rock bottom.
UMASS outclassed at McGuirk 62-28 by Coastal Carolina.
UCONN fodder at IU today losing 38-3.

Harvard scored on first play of second half, now 24-7.
Field is much better than when HC women's soccer played on it in August.

Lafayette is getting destroyed by Albany. Perhaps their patience with sports will wear out. Football is bad, men’s basketball has been a weakling for most of two decades and I cannot recall a good women’s team, basketball. There are wins in the league for HC and the way Colgate looks maybe a title. Maybe HC, Fordham and possibly Colgate will fight for the top three spots with Georgetown in the middle and Lehigh, Lafayette and Bucknell at the bottom.

UNH up by 7 at half
While today was an opportunity, on paper it was at best a long shot.

Stony Brook took a slow motion knee to run out the 1st half clock v Fordham up 31-3...Fordham (like Lehigh two years ago) should pen a thank you note to SBU Coach Chuck Priore. He’ll probably put random fans in so 2nd half may be wild.(Note: SBU now serves beer and wine at games)

After going up 45-3, the charitable SBU coach selected several additional elderly gentlemen from the stands to play in an attempt to keep the score down v Fordham . If Ram fans brag that they only ultimately lost by 35, Crossporters know the truth.

The combined record in the Patriot League is 4-20. 4-20!!!!!!!!! Just insane. The PL should have scrapped the OOC schedule in favor of each team playing everyone else in the league twice. The 12 game season would have allowed that and the league would have twelve wins so far, albeit against each other. Just think of how much flavor would be added to the rivalries if we played Lehigh, Lafayette and the rest home and away this year. 4-20 is so unacceptable.

Yeah because playing each PL squad twice would be so exciting.

Central Connecticut lost to Eastern Michigan in gut-wrenching fashion. Leading 29-28 with 20 seconds left, they had a punt blocked and returned for a TD.
This would've been the first EVER FBS scalp for the NEC.

And EMU is a decent MAC team. NEC is getting better.

The only league the PL is better than now is probably the non-scholly Pioneer.
I think HC has the potential (facilities, Chesney enthusiasm etc) to get better but the league as a whole is an absolute dumpstah fire presently.
League has to take a hard look at what needs to be done in football.

Pioneer definitely stronger than the PL at the top i.e. San Diego.
Georgetown may well win the Patriot League this year. They lost to Davidson.

I was denounced as a “name caller” or something several weeks ago when I said some Patriot League programs are approaching D3 quality. As of today, Bucknell and Lafayette would have trouble competing with top Division 3 programs. Just my humble opinion of course and we will never know. That’s how bad it is.

Just off the top of my head, the PL has losses to Central Conn, St. Francis, Davidson, Stony Brook and Albany. Really?

I said on AGS that the PSAC May well be a stronger conference than the PL this year. Hoping 2019 is the low point of PL scholarship football. Whoever wins the league this year would’ve finished 5th or 6th in 2008. That’s how bad it’s gotten. The conference stunk just as bad last year but at least we had a phenomenal Colgate team to carry the flag.
