If we don’t score any offensive touchdowns against Bucknell, by all means break out the torches and pitchforks and meet me at the Luth. Until then, deep breaths.

Syracuse was and is much better than those Army teams. Better I doubt it, more talented yes I'm bored this evening...gf away...bear with me The '88 Army team was Jim Young's last really good team....9-3, lost to Bama 29-28 in a bowl. Syracuse actually beat the 89 and 90 Army teams. Syracuse today is much more talented than those teams imo....would win against those Army teams imo.

I can predict our first down play next week. Shotgun formation, trips to one side, single set back, RPO delay dive on the weak side, loss of 2 - second and 12. Now, since the defense shows pressure, we will run another delayed dive to middle. Now on 3rd and 10, we rush a pass on the slant and miss the receiver. Then punt. How Chesney allows this OC to collect a paycheck is beyond me. One of my colleagues used to say, everyone should have a job - just maybe not the one they have. Enough of this crap!! Chesney - you want to be successful? Time To step up and solve this problem. Well said

I agree with this assessment...not more than a handful of our teams since 1981 would be better than 1-3 at this point. Offense is an issue, but let's see how they look the next couple of weeks. There are a lot of past teams with this schedule that would have scored more than 14 offensive touchdown points over 16 quarters of play.. Thanks Phreek Kiper ______________________ Your breakdown is appreciated

I’ll say this. We have people on this board who suck.
Just suck the life out of me.
Man - it sucks to be that negative.
My lenses are purple. I think this team will go 7-5 worst case.
Some - not all - people on this board just simply suck and Honestly feel sorry I share the same degree.
It’s my choice to be on this board. I own it.

Bring back Vaas as an Offense consultant and scrap this useless Tufts /D3 RPO playbook and play-calling approach.

And of course 4crusader3 likes it. haha. We all have biases If I didn't get playing time as a senior under Gilmore, I probably wouldn't like him.

Vaas sucks. I played for him. He sucks. Dumb post Vaas has a D1 OC resume and won it all in NFL Europe. He’d probably love to come back in a consulting role with scholarship talent to work with. Or we can keep the status quo of 80% 3 and outs against the opposing teams #1 defense.

And it was definitely him.

Another dumb post. the guy knows his X’s and O’s and knows how to develop QB’s (Brady Quinn etc).. yet we continue to roll with this Tufts/D3 playbook / scheme and our QBs through 15 games under Chesney / Murphy show little to no progression or confidence. How many passes did we attempt (let alone complete) beyond 15 yards today?

I'll take the I-Formation/Pro Set over the RPO/Air Raid with our current personnel. Actually, I think we could win out if we went back to the fundamentals. -Integrate Mountain more into the offense with playaction -Utilize Oliver as a Power back and Cozier as a multiple threat option (catching balls out of the backfield, split out, speed back, third down) -Utilize TE trades and tons of motion to get advantage at the point of attack -Misdirection/Counter plays to pull up LB's and free up middle of the field -21, 12, 11, 22 personnel -Reduce pressure on Degenhardt to fit tight windows by keeping defense on their toes. Current offense does absolutely nothing to pull the LB's and DB's into "run" -Figure out creative ways to get the ball into our fastest/most talented players (Wildcat, trick plays, misdirection, reverses, etc) Patriot League Championship here we come. Get Assumption Kliff on the phone.

I played for the guy. He took a run and shoot offense and went I formation You literally have zero clue what you are talking about. Another dumb post. Interesting analysis run and shoot was great for the players and staff that wanted to run it. Peter, like most coaches, had a comfort level with what he knew and what he wanted to teach. He then recruited for that system, but was never given a real opportunity to see if it would work. Some coaches have the ability to modify their preferences while a group of players transition, others don’t feel comfortable doing so. Peter might have moved too quickly to change the offense, or maybe he did what most new coaches would have done? If it still bothers any of those players who played for him, pick up the phone and give him a ring. At this point, however, I would hope most could let it go and move forward. i am sure you were an extraordinary player and talent, and perhaps the change in philosophy cost you an opportunity at the next level, but Peter was a very good QB, he loved the game, and as an alum bled purple. He did what he thought was best for the program and obviously was a teacher of the game because you seem to have learned a great deal from him.

But in the same breath didn’t learn from him. Fine person.
Not good coach. That’s all.
