Sort of strange that we expressed an interest in a JC guard seemingly after we received the commit from Bo, yet it looks as if we passed on Jay. But we only know the timing of this information based on social media, which may be reliable, or not. If he is available I would take him because based on nothing I think we have 2 left The current count is zero. There is some reasonable speculation here that Copeland will not return giving one scholarship. Unless one of our six guys who finished the year enters the portal or one of our six commits for next year reneges, that number won't climb to two

I think Kyle Copeland is the only variable here. I am convinced that Joey Reilly is on scholarship.

Holy Cross was reportedly very interested in Lamaute at one point (he took an OV here last November), but this may not be accurate currently . . .

Yes. Actually looks like more of a combo guard. Good size.

The guy needs to get in shape. 3% body fat just won’t get it done

WHAT A BODY
we really need another point guard and would love to see us sign this kid. johnson and lamaute would probably give us the most physically-developed/strongest tandem of point guards in the country... as freshmen.

I understand what you argue, but I would still prioritize a quality big if we have only one scholarship to give.

With the virus this turned into a crazy recruiting process, a number of quality players remain available and it is unlikely for recruiting restrictions to be lifted before June orJuly
Agree on the priority of a big if he is long, strong and athletic However we need a second PG While I appreciate Butler’s effort last year, I would prefer he not be the second option next year and we can keep him on the wing. That means Humphrey who is listed as a PG or Riley need to step in. Some believe Riley might have had his hands tied by the staff and he can still contribute. The other consideration might be how close are they to a 21 pg commit ? Now if we have 2 left, yes we can dream, I would take a big and a pg

Would be great if Reilly can be a strong second PG next year. I think he’s a good player who just wasn’t physically ready for D1 basketball as a true Frosh. He’s probably not going to get taller but he can certainly get stronger. As he does that, I think he’ll find a role here.

Hope he has some weights at home Pretty sure he has unfettered access to as much alone time as he needs in the East Catholic gym and weight room.

It appears that both Montgomery and Humphrey played some point for their high school teams and in an article I read on Montgomery it indicated he played point guard for his AAU team last summer, I would expect one or both will spend time next season spelling Johnson at the point.

But he needs to say in his bloody house there are plenty of ways to improve strength within a house and no equipment might not add bulk, but increased strength is possible

New data coming on peak dates for the virus in each state Chris Murray and IHME modifying in real time PP you get modeling better than I ever will-pm and I will connect you and Chris who is on my Advisory Board CT CBS keeps showing a graph with Fairfield County peaking in a couple of weeks, New Haven County two weeks after that and Hartford County two weeks after that. Hoping those timelines move up with the next round of estimates. Either way, we’re probably in for several more months of this.

Thinking back, I never thought Roger Breslin would be a good player, but by the end of his sophomore year, he was.
