Had the games on side by side, men playing with a lot more gusto than the women. Purplehaze's point of view may the correct one.

Spectrum Sports spotty transmission. AL only bright spot. If the rest of team responds in fourth quarter we can still win.

AM looks good in pale pink from the Elizabeth Warren collection. That's the last picture I saw on the screen. And now the audio went away, too.

BU 62-51. What a disappointing dive into mediocrity. I think AM needs to get into the championship game at this point to save her job.

It may well be that the men win more next year than the ladies; and I expect around 10 wins from the men.
You don't have a big on the ladies team that is guaranteed to be physically able to play. Plus, the next forward type has regressed tremendously.

Faulkner showed some flashes of her ability today, but also a wince after one basket that hinted at her playing at less than 100%.

So disappointing- I want to see a nationwide search for a coach that can recruit - we have a lot to offer and our recruiting has to get out of the northeast - not working

"Nationwide Searches" merely provide cover.

Good to know there is a reason for her struggles. Just hope it's not some rotator cuff thing - those take a LONG time to heal/rehab and she's gotta play A LOT next year.

So disappointing- I want to see a nationwide search for a coach that can recruit - we have a lot to offer and our recruiting has to get out of the northeast - not working That is a good point. At present, unless we shock the world in March, neither HCWBB or the HCWBB coaching staff can sell a stream of success over the past several years. We can't do anything to change the school's w-l record over the last decade, but it is possible to hire a new head coach who has a record of consistent winning over the past several years. That is the Bob Chesney from Assumption to HC model and the Carla Berube from Tufts to Princeton model. A decade of mediocrity can be neutralized by the upward winning trajectory of a new dynamic coach who is the person the recruits and families will interact with and who effectively becomes Holy Cross basketball to them while the w-l record of the past decade fades. With the P-6 Assistant Coach to Mid Major head coach model, the exorcism of past prolonged losing is murkier because the coach's accomplishments are more opaque and must be filtered through the record of their former head coaches. SID's do their best to attach winning at past programs to the former Assistant when they write the glowing coach biographies, but I think I favor the Chesney/Berube proven consistent winner as head coach approach better.

One week to rest and get ready for this game and they lay an egg - in the last two home games we are 5 of 30 from 3 pt range - whatever happened to the no.1 team in the country in that category?
