I wonder when we will have an announcement on the coaching decision. I assume the interviews are complete, so I expect sometime early next week.

Doubt any announcement will come until the non-essential biz closure in MA is lifted.

Didn't stop Villinova or Drexel.

In another year I might have wondered, "what else could possibly happen?" After this year...I don't want to know!

Didn't stop Villinova or Drexel. No, although I think both of those decisions had been made weeks ago. Denise Dillon seemed like a no-brainer for Villanova - being an alum, a former VU player, and a very successful head coach at Drexel for many years. It's obvious that VU's decision had been made a while ago, since it took Drexel less than two hours to announce their new head coach after VU announced they were hiring Dillon. I think the only recent decision was which day to issue the two press releases.

Maybe, maybe not, I would agree on Drexel, not so much on Villanova The exact timeline isn't certain, but Nova must have reached terms with Dillon a number of days before Drexel hired Amy Mallon as their new coach. It presumably took Drexel some time to agree on salary, length of contract, various contract terms, etc - and then to have the President sign off on the hiring. Plus a possible background check. And finally to create a press release. Yet Drexel was able to make their announcement about their new coach simultaneously with Villanova announcing they were hiring away Drexel's coach to be their new head coach.

I have reason to believe the Holy Cross process started several weeks ago. Again, I will be surprised if there is not an announcement next week, whether they go in a new direction or stick w/ AM.

Glad to see you include sticking with AM as an option, HC13. I can see the points for and against a new hire and they are somewhat balanced for normal times. These aren't normal times so that tips the scales towards stability to some degree in my mind.

It is somewhat similar to the lawsuit filed against Jim Calhoun and/or St. Joseph's of West Hartford by the former athletic department employee: a clash between older long time male coaches and younger women where the younger woman is offended but the older man can make a case he did not intend to offend her. The younger woman at St Joes though was an assistant AD at the school...

Good point, which puts the Saint Joseph of WH lawsuit on the same plane as the DP complaint against BG.

I'd have to see the details of the complaint to see if there are similarities- certainly the incident during the game last year would be something completely different. And, of course, no race card unless Piscitelli is of the same variety of Italian-American as Giancarlo Esposito

I'm 0-2 and at the risk of getting a K, BG was DP's supervisor and iirc, the gist of the St. Joe's lawsuit is that Calhoun functioned as the associate AD's supervisor even though she would technically be above him in the management structure, and he and his horde of non-housebroken bros rode in, took over and rudely pushed her aside and the school allowed and encouraged it.

I'd love to see AM stay on for at least a one year contract....This is a very different offseason and the stability of having her stay in place may be better than bringing in a new coach...AM seems to have a good recruiting class coming in, and in these difficult times her recruits are probably far better than off with a familiar face on the screen...... It is a very scary, difficult time for all, and incoming freshman have a lot on their plate....Uncertainty is not something the program needs to show right now....
Stay Safe Everybody!!!!

Have to disagree - I don’t see AM as the long term answer and I believe there is a lot of coaching talent that ADMB has to identify- yes, this is an off-season like no other but other schools are filling openings and we also will - looking forward to hearing about the new hire

LOL If they drag it on much longer, recruiting may be a mess, although with the shutdown, this is going to be a very odd year in that respect, I think.

So you think it won't be until May? I don't think I poo-poo'd it but rather was under the impression they completed their interviews, some how a growing number of other schools have been able to finish the process, don't see why HC can not . All I really take out of this delay is AM chances would seem to be diminishing, but who knows, not me!

With recruiting shut down until May 31, ADMB has a little wiggle room to make a decision - I’m confident the new coach will catch up over the summer (if there is an AAU season at all) - keep the faith everyone

Keeping the faith here. Maybe AM could approach ADMB and quote former Red Sox Interim Manager Joe Morgan who said to team owner Jean Yawkey: "The word Interim isn't in my vocabulary." As a BC grad, I'm sure it wasn't in his vocabulary.

I don't think we have made an offer since December, and only have 6 known ones
