I see Dr. Fauci accepted the president-elect's invitation to be a senior medical advisor. Dr. Fauci is a beast, and I mean that with the deepest affection.

Marissa Gregg was director of the Samuel Adams brand for the Boston Beer Co. This may possibly portend something with respect to the college's future post-COVID gatherings! I believe AK34 works for Boston Beer Co as well. As of a year ago he did. District Manager for Baltimore/DC/Virginia area I believe.

Sorry, for some reason my LinkedIn connection to AK doesn't paste when I copy it. I suppose it's a privacy thing (or proprietary thing - why join LinkedIn when someone will copy and send you the info, right?). Anyway, it seems life after HC is treating Andrew well.

Which of the choices advances the magazine's agenda? I presume you mean political agenda and are arguing not Trump. But any of the other choices could be seen as its agenda But Time has made many choices of people that did not ally with their agenda

I think they made their choices based on what gets the magazine the most sales and publicity world-wide. They then use that number to boost ad prices. It does come down to the dollar.

My prediction: the pairing of Fauci and the front-line health care workers.

Not so sure about that. they have chosen Hitler, Stalin, Ayatollah Khomeini As hated figures, they brought huge publicity to the selection and sold huge numbers of magazines. Your selections seem to prove my point. It is n ot an award for the most "worthy" just for a person/name that was seen often throughout the year.

I would like to see evidence of that. A quick look at Wiki states that after Khomeini was chosen, Time steered away from controversial figures due to commercial reasons

Biden and Kamala won. Shocker. Last year's selection was Greta Thunberg. (A 16-year-old climate change activist from Sweden.)

I just learned that in almost every instance, a new US President has been selected upon his election. Many times they get selected upon re-election. Nothing to see here.

I just learned that in almost every instance, a new US President has been selected upon his election. Many times they get selected upon re-election. Nothing to see here. Not just new Presidents. The last time the winner of the Presidential election was not selected was 1996 when Clinton was re-elected. This is the first time the VP has also been selected. However, sharing the award is not uncommon. For example, in 1998, after being snubbed in 1996, Clinton shared the “honor” with Ken Starr.

I think the edition of Harris as VP would be as the first person of color and woman to be elected VP.

Not so sure about that. they have chosen Hitler, Stalin, Ayatollah Khomeini Meaning what, exactly? They have also chosen Trump in the past, as well, and he is again a finalist. Time Magazine's Person of the Year is not an endorsement. Rather, it is their opinion about who has had the most impact in the year gone by.

As a way to build public confidence in the federal government’s vaccine program, Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, the government’s top infectious disease expert, told The New York Times on Friday that he intends to “get vaccinated publicly, in the public space, so that people can see me getting vaccinated,” as soon as “the vaccine becomes available to me.”
Dr. Fauci, 79, added that he is not certain when that will be, and is leaving it up to the health secretary, Alex M. Azar II, to decide.
