Hope we don’t need to wait until senior day to be able to watch an outdoor game in a stadium that holds 3,000, where about 50 show up to watch the game

The desire to limit travel this Spring due to COVID, while somewhat understandable, certainly hurts northern teams who normally spend multiple weeks in Florida or out west. I would say the Luth helps but I am sure the field will be booked solid with all of the fall sports playing in the Spring as well.

A grass field likely won't be ready till late March...

Dvorak pitched in only one game last year and believe he had a minor injury Black is a jr and will be drafted in June - he had a huge summer in the south Florida collegiate summer league and is rated the no.53 prospect in this coming draft Let’s hope Liam is ready for a big sr season

The CAA announced schedule changes on 1/26 and on 2/5 released their baseball preview. They are also split into divisions for conference play but are allowed to play non-conference opponents. Northeastern is favored in the North and has Wake Forest on the early schedule. This is more the model I aspire to for Holy Cross.

Will the PL show some common sense and not cancel games if one person on a roster of 30+ guys tests positive while the remaining players are all playing a game spread out on an open-air field?

Northeastern will have to go undefeated in the North Division of the CAA and dominate midweek when they play BC to get an at-large berth in the NCAA Tournament (Last time they made it they were an At-Large). Northeastern is in a tough spot with very little wiggle room to getting a bid this year.

How about have 29 other guys stuck in a dugout with a player who tested positive? What social distancing is done there?

Yea but the other 29 players could have the virus and not be testing positive yet...The NHL mess is a great example of the problem of players being in close contact with each other.

Isn’t that always true (folks- on the baseball team and off - can have the virus without knowing it)? I can’t help thinking of at least one difference between indoor professional hockey and outdoor College baseball. Was Covid spread during practices and games a significant source of transmission during Major League Baseball’s outdoor season? It would be nice for the kids to play a decent schedule notwithstanding the obvious fact that college kids (on and off a baseball team) may come down with covid.
