LIU is 1-26 and ranked 363 out of 363 by Sagarin. If they played us at Hart, we would be an 11 point favorite. Hope he gets some playing time there because the education is clearly subpar vs a place like HC. No dorms either The players used to live at the historic St. George Hotel in beautiful Brooklyn Heights

According to the Fairfield board, the 60 th annual J.C.C. Classic, a schoolboy All-Star game between Ct and NJ boys and girls, is this Sunday in Bridgeport. Maybe HC should send someone. It is the longest running all-star hoops event in the country.

Has HC considered this guy at all? www.hudl.com/profile/14040165/Owen-LaytonOnly asking because his parents bought a house across the street from me and said (in a very understating manner) that he was a basketball player and I subsequently looked him up. Don't want to say the wrong thing if perhaps there is communication between him and HC. Unlike a lot of people, it appears he'd fit in academically. Looks like Pratt Institute beat us to him

I imagine the AD has to avoid recommendation overload. It seems so many know someone who would be the best fit for coach, player, etc. Some suggestions are based on personal relationships and little more. The cacophony of advice and suggestions must be dizzying. Obviously, the AD does not want to miss out on a good hire but it is a situation in which it seems everyone knows everything and has a name to recommend. My guess he would need to prioritize criteria. Get input from his assistants. Make lists of various names. Place in various tranches. Quickly eliminate then whittle down to the final few. Whittle down further and further still. Flip a coin. Make a choice. And, say a prayer. It all goes with the job of AD. No doubt AD KH will strike a fine balance and live with his choice for his own peace of mind.

Here is an interesting one, imho. According to NERR, a kid from the NEPSAC, (Winchendon), just committed to NJIT. (Sorry for the alphabet soup). What's interesting? NJIT is one of the many D1 schools searching for a men's head coach right now.

I looked the place up and the gym name (ARC) seemed familiar. Turned out that I saw it yesterday on St. Francis' hoop website. St. Francis played out the season at that gym rather than their own. Harbinger of bad things to come, I guess.

I looked Pratt up after hc1998 mentioned Layton going there. They are horrible. 5-26 or something like that. Many 30-40 point losses.

It is the first, and only, school of its type (I think "art and design") to get a D-III or better designation...to apply overly broad generalizations, on the one hand their typical student probably isn't much of a basketball player...however, on the other hand, they should have the market cornered on art and design basketball players.

Christian Moore from NMH and AOF still available. 6’6”. #29 in New England. Had some higher offers back in the day but now seem mostly of the low major variety. Army, CCSU, etc.
