Not all the Rens are high academic kids Moore appears to be based on an offer from Rice.

When are recruits supposed to sign National Letters of Intent?

I think there are a couple of signing periods. One is right around the time the season starts

Some classic names on the All Canadian roster:
Bubu (would that be pronounced like Yogi Bear's sidekick?) Benjamin Ibrahim Sacko (should be a defensive lineman and not a basketball player) Jalek Dunkley-Distant

Christian Moore from NMH and AOF still available. 6’6”. #29 in New England. Had some higher offers back in the day but now seem mostly of the low major variety. Army, CCSU, etc. Moore commits to the Citadel.

Here's someone I hope HC has a shot at, for obvious reasons (you have to scroll down a bit to find his highlight film). www.hudl.com/profile/18873085/connor-nairusClass of 26, which means he's a rising sophomore at St. Mark's.

We have no future recruiting threads, do we? And if I make one for 26, likely it will be ignored pretty quickly.

Jack Graham, a 6-4 wing from Milton Academy, has decommitted from High Point. Graham had only a couple offers, but he was the NEPSAC Class A PoY, playing at a highly selective prep school. Maybe worth kicking the tires.

He is from Smithfield, RI, no more than 30 minutes from HC down Rte 146.

I hope to see a big offered by the end of the week. Don't know anything but getting nervous. A contributing big is the difference between a building team vs 2-4 team.

Funny, came across his name the other day when researching top unsigned players. At #33, he is the 4th highest unsigned prospect in NE per NERR.
With his prep experience from both Brewster and NMH, it sounds like he could be a nice long term solution as a lead guard. Would also be nice to beat BU for his services. If he does come, the staff is going to have to use that last schollie, and use it for a guy with some size. Sure, a 6-11 rim protector would be great, but at this point I would gladly take a legit 6-8 kid that can play. The staff is probably looking everywhere under the sun at this point (juco, D-2).
I do think that if they could snag Frankel, they would have a nice perimeter rotation for the future (Batch, Nugent, Singleton, Frankel), with 3 guys that made the top 33 of the NERR rankings. At least on paper that looks pretty strong.

HC really doesn't know what to expect from Louth and Rabs. A very good big from the portal would be great for the program, but a very good scorer would be great for the team next season...Batch may be a great scorer in the very near future, Bo and Octave have shown they can score, plus Dorsey can shoot it..IMHO, a solid point guard, like Frankel, appears to be the glue that is missing...and another scorer, in or out, would always be great...
I believe Coach Paulsen has the experience to see what the team needs, and who fits the need....I am sure he has a list in mind, and will come up with the right piece. His experience is a big plus for this season, he has been there before!

Agree with everything, DiMarz. I'd be very happy eith Frankel if he's a true point. I'd hate to wait another year to get a big. Like Nad, I don't care if he's a rugged pf that we use like Gates or a true center but it's very difficult to succeed long term without a rebounder and someone who can score underneath when defended.

Both had surgery during the season - which didn't end that long ago

Louth & Rabs have height. Maybe, they can add size. And, maybe good coaching could improve their game. And, maybe... Does DP choose by position or best player available?

IMHO, our new coach really needs to bolster the 4/5 spots with at least one recruit this Spring. I get the best player available thinking but you aren't going anywhere without at least one effective big man and that guy needs a serviceable backup. Our 2 big men are largely unknowns and we don't even know about their injury status heading into the summer workouts.

When Louth / Raps are healthy they are both great skilled bigs...... the problem is that they are never healthy and neither of them are fast enough to play anything besides the 5. We gotta be realistic, Paolo Banchero isn't coming through the door at this stage of the process (or at all) If im trying to build this team im looking for an Austin Lewis clone to space the floor out and get some length and then pray to god that Rand and Louth can play at least 75% of a full season.

Have to disagree that Rabs and Louth are "great skilled bigs". I've seen zero evidence of this. With good health and good coaching perhaps this can change. They both work hard when out there, but HC has had a "bigs" problem for a while. It's hard to win, even in the PL, with a "bigs" problem.
