Frustrating. Do like seeing RJ become a little more assertive offensively. He’ll be very good for the next 3-4 years.

Butler was terrible.....
Future of this team is Gates, Bo, and RJ....need others to develop. Wade has been a huge disappointment.

I think this was the first game in his career where Austin Butler did not attempt a three

At a critical juncture down the stretch, HC had 2 plays in less than a minute that a senior simply cannot make. Frustrating, but not the story of the game. HC just dug themselves too deep a hole

Wade with two wide open looks. I thought he played good defense though.
Full lineup they win that game. No Louth or Martindale

We had a timeout to use after that missed FT, yes? Wondering why it wasn’t used.. Frustrating way to end that one especially considering how close the second half was. Onto the next one

Somebody is paying the broadcasters (narrowcasters?) and ESPN Plus internet time is unlimited. Yet the production ends right at the final buzzer like someone's pants are on fire. Why not have the two announcers conduct a post game show and sell a few more ads?

Didn't Martindale get a couple of first half minutes?

Great to have a true PG and shots like today show he has that potential scoring dimension in his game when needed.

Bench points - Lehigh, 42 - 2.
Otherwise, pretty much a statistical dead heat.

Didn't Martindale get a couple of first half minutes? The box score gave him 1 minute, 1 turnover and 2 personal fouls. Clearly not a great day. Is he injured? Also, no time for Townsel? Is he injured? Gutsy comeback in the second half. Let's see how they play tomorrow.

Offensively he seems to be mostly a jump shooter. He's going to be a core rotational guy for the next few years. I love Butler but he had an odd game.

...an odd game for AB. That is a good way to describe it.

The young players are going to be good when the coach gets his correct combinations figured out. Butler is a warrior, but the last 5 minutes were brutal - 7 turnovers & 2 missed layups (HC wins if they are made). The ball needs to be in other hands come crunch time. Short minutes in second half by Faw was also crucial to the final score. Stop reaching in.....petty fouls get committed. Lehigh must have a great Fine Arts major in acting, the refs bought into it.

Everyone has bad days. This was ABs. Sadly it feels like that’s what costed us this one down the stretch. I love that even down 9 with under 2:30 left in the game we fought and put ourselves in position to extend the game at the end.

Onto the next one The best you can hope for is an open look. RJ got a pretty decent look. Sometimes takin a timeout allows the defense to get set. I didn’t mind not calling a timeout.

In agree about the acting out there. If the refs buy it, that can be deadly all by itself. Capt. Obvious here, but we need to get some minutes from Townsel, Rabinowitz and/or Coulibaly. Will see see them at all this year?

Wade reminds me a bit of Kyle Cruze.
Both were heralded as sharpshooters coming out of high school, but we’ve yet to see that with Wade.
Cruze was a good defender in Willard’s match up, AIR.

That long stretch without scoring in 1H killed.
AB wants to win so bad, that he’s putting added pressure on himself.
Got to like RJ.

Agree I believe the last time we scored off an out of bounds set play might have been against Navy last year when the ball somehow made it into Lowder’s hands and he hit the big 3 for the win not something we do do well but perhaps in time

We kinda gave credence to that old adage that teams that press don't like to be pressed. Really bad passes by AB against that semi mild pressure, but I feel confident he'll come back strong tomorrow. Game still lost in the first half imho. Team has to learn to put in max effort/energy for 40 minutes. Freshman reach in by a senior at a really bad time, too. Disappointing, really could have used 2 wins this weekend. Now, they'll have to fight to get 1.
RJJ just seems like a leader. Will be real interesting when Luc gets here next year. Will Coach use them the way Langel uses Burns and Cummings?
On to tomorrow.

Time to trot out the expression “we are never as good as we think we are and never as bad as we think we are.” I cautioned over exuberance when we were 2-2 but also caution not to be too negative now.
The inexperience with so many freshmen and transfers almost guarantees that we will be consistently inconsistent, high degree of variability.
We literally threw this winnable game away.
We really need to see Rabs and Oh, Canada 🇨🇦 on the floor. Unless Rabs is injured but no evidence of that.

Will see see them at all this year? It doesn't appear that Townsel and Rabinovich are ready to contribute. Maybe in time. Not sure about Coulibaly--is he even dressing for games? I didn't see the whole game today. From the silver lining dept.: we're a better team than least year that is going to continue to get better. We have some talented, athletic, physical new players. We also have some glaring problems: interior defense and rebounding. Matt Faw, whose effort is always commendable, seems like a forward playing center. But we're a competitive team and when we beat Lehigh tomorrow we'll match last year's win total.
