Foley is a game-time decision, apparently. Would be great if he plays. Has the feeling of covering for the kid so he isn’t viewed as selfish when he doesn’t. Or we’re setting up a Willis Reed scenario, which would be awesome.

^ likely a tweaked ankle is what I’ve heard. If I was to guess I’d say Strong gets 7-10 carries max. The last thing they want to do is worsen the ankle injury. Very concerning. I'm not a doctor and have never played one on tv but I really think he should sit this one out.

What the heck is chislic ? One does not simply try to explain chislic...it is an experience, like Rocky Mountain oysters, but that’s another story. Think of beef or lamb tips fried and served with ranch, bleu cheese or bbq sauce. I did try duck chislic at Minervas in Sioux Falls last week, very good, very rich. Diners, Drive Inns and Dives did and episode at Urban Chislic in Sioux Falls. Chislic there is like wings at BWW. You know, if you had an order of chislic, added an order of poutine, and then added a side of onion rings you'd really have something.

You're a better man than I. I don't even know what that means. To me Reynolds numbers are how many rolls of Reynolds Wrap you buy at the store. Reynolds numbers are essential to aerodynamics. the extent that you have laminar (smooth) flow over a wing (or any surface) or turbulent flow is determined by the Reynolds number of a particular wing design. The lower the Reynolds number, the better. Turbulent flow corresponds to drag, and, as you might guess, there is also a corresponding formula for calculating the coefficient of friction. Thanks, I've learned something, although as an English major I'm thinking what a good metaphor Reynolds numbers are.

From wikipedia--info about the variants within the state:
"Chislic consists of deep-fried cubes of mutton, lamb, beef, or venison prepared rare to medium-rare, sprinkled with garlic salt or other seasoned salt, and served with toothpicks. The dish is typically served hot, accompanied by soda crackers.[4] Regional variations exist: in Pierre, the meat is battered; in Sioux Falls, it is lightly dusted with flour before deep-frying and may be served with hot sauce;[5] near Watertown, ranch dressing may be served on the side, while Lawry's Seasoned Salt is preferred near Redfield"

Sam Houston up 14-0 over Monmouth at the half. Uh, oh. I picked Monmouth based on their performance against HC last year. I should have relied on their performance against JMU in the second round.

Interesting playoff factoid: Sacred Heart beat Delaware 10-7 in their only previous match up in 2014.

For those who will not be venturing to SD for the game, it will be televised on ESPN3. This is an internet streaming service. For those who have a Smart TV that is interfaced with your internet service, the game should be able to be viewed on TV. I have Comcast cable with Xfinity X1. ESPN3 is accessible by using my voice remote function (you won’t find a designated channel for it). ESPN3 comes up on the screen and there are numerous sporting events that you can click on to watch, including all of Saturday’s FCS playoff games. You click on the game you want to watch when it is scheduled to start and the live feed downloads off the internet and on the screen in HD. Our game shows up on my espn+ menu...optimum cable Lou, thanks for the heads up regarding espn+... found it here also ... spectrum cable!

Watching the Monmouth/Sam Houston game, I just checked the Monmouth roster. What happen to Eddie Scott, QB, who transferred there from HC? He does not appear on their roster.

Foley is a game-time decision, apparently. He shouldn't have waited until a week or two ago to decide he was going to opt out. He took valuable snaps away from other lineman.

UD leading SHU 9-7 at halftime thanks to a muffed snap on a punt leading to a safety. Pioneers looking solid.

Interesting matchup next week as North Dakota (who handed South Dakota State its only defeat and who also pretty easily won a round 1 matchup) travels to JMU.

Any HC fans that want to help cheer on the Jacks next week plan on taking a long Sunday nap.
We play Southern Illinois in the nightcap game on ESPN2. Sunday night 8pm CDT. Ugh, not ideal for the team but selfishly I’m thankful as it’s the one chance I have to attend next Sundays game.
