That's a pretty good article.
They've got some very slow trains in Cambridge: "After a lively crowd of 20,748 helped propel his team to victory, Griffith was hopeful that some Harvard fans would take the one hour, 30 minute train ride to Worcester."

Is "The Spire" still published? Do they have sports columnists? Uhh, this is it!? All you former "The Crusader" writers, editors will not be happy: hcspire.com/category/sports/Future journalists don't look like they'll be coming out of Holy Cross anymore. That link brought me to the Boston Globe sports section, National sports page. The writing at the Globe is very amateurish these days. Going through the archives, the Globe hasn't saved any Dan Shaughnessy pieces since 1975. Strange.

Exactly! On line, which presumably would be what the students use mostly, I saw no sports columns or much of anything about Holy Cross and the campus. Perhaps there is a hard copy and I will look when I am on campus tomorrow.

My final pregame thought (and I’ve mentioned this already this season): Does home field advantage really exist today for ~90% of FCS teams (unless opponent is traveling Cross country?) Our 3 worst losses (by HC performance) in the Chesney era are all at home (Bucknell 2018, Lafayette 2019, Merrimack 2021). We have lost our last 8 homecoming games!
Can we turn this around today against one of the top 2 two teams in the Ivy with lots of depth? LFG!
