Gonzaga? No FB, lacrosse, hockey or softball. But what they participate in they do well with. M&W BB and baseball in the NCAA Tournament and women's soccer 15-5. They have ten Deputy, Senior Associate, Associate or Assistant Directors of Athletics. Maybe a place to look the next time we have a vacancy at AD as long as we're committed to always hiring people with zero experience as AD.

We have a couple guys throw in 90, but yes, wish it was more. Again, think it comes down to cost and scholarships. You’re coveted if throwing 90 in HS, so will get many offers. HC probably recruits guys who are projected to throw harder, as their college careers evolve. Some probably pan out, some don’t. Yes. Why would a high schooler throwing in the 90's head off to a non-schollie program at high-cost HC? Ditto a kid who projects to throw with 90+ velocity as a frosh/soph in college. We can (and do) have a participating PL team but the odds of landing kids with pro potential are very very slim. Speaking of the very rare HC baseball player and pro potential, Declan Cronin is getting steady work in relief for the AA Birmingham Barons: www.milb.com/player/declan-cronin-686539?stats=gamelogs-r-pitching-mlb&year=2022Most of these guys didn’t throw 90’s coming out of HS. If they did, they wouldn’t be at LIU, Bryant, etc. They get developed with coaching and conditioning. And a good coach can project a kid who may be able to fill out and throw 95. They won’t always be right, but Blood at Hartford scooped up two local gems in Sean Newcombe and Nick Dombkowski.

I watched LIU today. Guys threw in the 90’s. Foreign to have a guy in the 90’s at HC. Why? And what did LIU do? They hit the BBQ with a 0-2 run losing 23-2 to Maryland and 10-4 to Wake. My point is there is talent in the northeast. Maybe we are getting some of it, but it’s not being developed at all.

Sam Kirkpatrick transferred to Belmont according to his Instagram. He's from Franklin, TN which the internet says is 19.9 miles from Belmont in Nashville. He will be far from HC but still close to God as Belmont is a Christian University. Another vote for vigorous recruiting in New England.

How many games did UNH baseball win this season? Oh yeah, nevermind...
Shouldn't you be in the darkroom in your parent's basement processing photos of the JV pickleball match you shot today?

UConn to the Super Regional against the winner of Stanford and Texas State. Those two are currently tied 1-1 in the third.

The $8 million partnership between Belmont University and the city of Nashville to develop athletic facilities for both town and gown at Rose Park is very similar to the excellent partnership between Clark University, the city of Worcester, Congressman McGovern and the Boys and Girls Club to clean up toxic brown fields in the Main South section of Worcester, build a new Boys and Girls Club and athletic facilities and fields the University, Club and Community use. The link you provided doesn't mention Federal Funding for Belmont's partnership. Clark and Worcester got significant Federal funding for their project. Having a veteran Congressman who is chairman of a powerful committee helps. HC has city owned Cookson Park across College St. I wonder if a partnership to help both town and gown was ever considered for that park.

Team defense was greatly improved once Peek became the regular 2B and Jones at 3B. As a result, pitching results improved. Two bungled plays at SS cost the team in the 2nd playoff game vs Army.
King was injured in pre season and never really recovered. I suspect there was going to be competition for only only position next year.
Not sure if it’s the case here, rather than fighting for their spot, many jump ship for greener pastures. Sure appears being closer to home could have been a factor.
Sam and his family are good people. I wish them nothing but the best.

I don’t think New England has seen that level of futility on defense since Butch Hobson was handling 3B for the BoSox
