Clearly a special performance, especially after the break.
Honestly I was wondering if DeMorathit his head on the carpet during one of the tackles and had a mild concussion, but I guess the hand injury could do the same damage. He is a talented player

For a home game, someone needs to go to Fitton on Sunday with a tape measure and see if the sideline distance between the field and the stands meets the minimum distance spec. From Google maps, it may, but without checking the NCAA field spec, the minimum distance between the back of the west end zone and the fence may not. Awfully tight. If Fitton did not meet the NCAA field spec, would any games be allowed on the field? ? That's the question I asked a few days ago. If the place is not safe, it's not safe. The rules for playoff games are not different.

Stat of the day: Second half yardage - Holy Cross 267 Fordham 59 According to the Box Score posted by the FU Athletic Dept., the Rams amassed a whopping total of FOUR YARDS in the 4th quarter (on only 8 plays). Can you say second-half adjustment? 35-3 after the delay. The biggest sequence in the game was HC holding Fordham to a field goal, then killing the entire second quarter before scoring the tying touchdown.

Don't think it has been mentioned, but since there's been a lot of discussion of the weather (it was windy and cold in the bronx) a spectacular meteor burned up in the sky, left to right watching from the stands, during the 3rd Q

Interesting that you actually believe the HC offense carried the day. Certainly, it was not a shootout. HC's D disarmed the FU O. Most important, HC won on a beautiful sunny day. FWIW it was refreshing to hear excellent announcers for a change call an HC football game. They were by far the most professional I've heard all season. We had 559 yards of offense and scored 52 points and possessed the ball for 39:08. I believe that’s a pretty dominant performance by the offense. You should be glad they outperformed your expectations. Thanks for the lecture. . We're both glad HC won. I suggest we leave it at that.

HC deserves a home game. Let’s say they are 9-2. They deserve a home game against Sacred Heart or maybe URI in round 1. Just speculating folks. With an FBS win, Yale and Monmouth and Fordham like this - all on the road by the way - they deserve 1 home game. That Merrimack game still gets me. A win there and at 10-1 there’s a chance we avoid a first round game. I still think no as avoiding a first round game means that you'd have to be ranked in the Top 8. I don't think we'd be quite that high at 10-1. I DO think the Merrimack loss would've cost us an at-large bid had we lost today. But thankfully we no longer have to sweat that out. Another CRAZY thought: If we had lost today, Colgate would have had a chance to win the Patriot League title at home next week against Fordham.

If we had lost, and Colgate were to beat Fordham next weekend, while we were beating Bucknell, I think we’d have still made the tourney. We’d hold the H2H vs Colgate, Fordham would have it vs HC, and Colgate would have it vs Fordham. We’d have the best overall record and the best OOC record. I think the decision would fall to the non-involved ADs, and I can’t imagine them not using the comparative records for the call.
The best news is that it doesn’t matter!!

Just rewatched our scoring drives. Interesting play with just over 14:00 to go in the game. Sluka runs left for a short gain and is tackled by 2 Fordham defenders in front of the HC bench. Fordham's #4 hurts his arm and is on the carpet but the Fordham bench can't see it because it's across the field and he's blocked by HC players. Coach Chesney sees this and comes out to help the guy . Probably every opposing coach would do this--but was still nice to see.

To all the HC football program (players, coaches and fans - especially those who stayed through that weather),...BRAVO, BRAVISSIMO!

What a long day yesterday but it was worth staying!
5 Ram Crusader Cups in a row!
3 time PL champs.
Good amount of HC fans. Both Jack Coffey Stadium and Rose Hill gym need a facelift.
Really hope this gets us a home playoff game.

Also congrats to the HC fans who returned after the over hour storm delay to be rewarded with as solid a half of 2 way football as I have seen in many years (Duffner years) vs a strong opponent. Most fans of both teams did not wait out the delay. We stood (dryer and less cold) with many of the HC players’s parents . What a wonderful group !

The delay definitely diluted the home field advantage for Fordham. Those that traveled from out of state were much more likely to stay than the much more local Fordham crowd. My group used the delay as an excuse to enjoy an extended halftime tailgate in the garage. Watched the last 7 min of the 2nd quarter on ESPN+ on my phone before returning to the game by 2nd half kickoff -- of course the PA and crowd reactions clued me into the results of each play before watching due to the slight delay. End of the game timed just perfectly to make my 530 reservation at Michelangelo's. Overall, a tremendous game day experience. A lightning delay in November, who would've thought. Having lived in NY since I was 5 years old, this is by far the latest in the season I ever remember a thunderstorm with the exception of that occasional random clap you get during a heavy snowstorm.

Worcester is about 45 miles from Boston, but the Globe, at least in my edition, had a one sentence mention of HC's victory buried toward the back of the sport page. It amazes me that a third consecutive PL title by a MA FCS school doesn't mention a story in the Globe. It's as if life doesn't exist outside Rt. 128.

Well, Boston is not the only city with this severe case of myopia. There used to be a very funny map of how New Yorkers (city dwellers, not state inhabitants) saw the world. I can't find the one I remembered but this one is close enough: newyorkcityfeelings.com/map-america-seen-new-yorker/

On same side of that coin, I get physically ill when people refer to Holy Cross as being located "outside Boston". I wish WTAG and TV3 had the budget to cover and broadcast respectively our key road games. We should start a Crossports GoFundMe to pay for Jen Toland to be able to travel to these games.

The best I could do was to sign up for something like a 6 month on-line subscription to the T&G as I think they had a sale for $1. Definitely worth it.
