Massey has this as a true "toss-up." He makes HC a one point favorite (70-69) with a 51% chance for the win. Or, you could simply toss a coin. CCSU is currently 1-5, losing their first 5 (including a loss to MA-Lowell) before winning at Maine. They play Fordham today. They are ranked 345 by Massey (with HC at 335) out of 358 rated teams.

From the current Massey rankings, there's the possibility of a SWAC, MEAC or Soutland league game between two worse teams.

We are 2-5. I tend to go by actual game results, when possible, I do not customize the numbers.

Fordham won two of three in FL. Against Akron and Rice before this game - I’d say we are clear underdogs in this game - a team that cannot shoot, cannot win

You might be right watched a number of our future opponents this week/weekend and came to that depressing conclusion as well. I also think our style of play is what you frequently see in the second and third levels of AAU basketball (for the high school age group) where the ball gets rolled out , little defense is played and few adjustments are made. I hope things improve before Christmas

Maybe some will agree, others not....but the old CYO ball was definitely better than the current AAU teams. 🤔

For grade school coaching I agree and would add high school basketball for the most part is a much more enjoyable product for any who love the game

I already promised myself I'd be as patient as possible and with-hold judgment on this team and coach until we get into Patriot League play. The OOC schedule is basically an exhibition at this point.
As someone pointed out, I love analogies. Hoping Nelson can have the type of season Gilmore had with Lehigh. Heading into conference play, you could've made an argument that they were the worst team in FCS. Then, one week everything started clicking with a young team and they wind up .500 in the conference.
The great thing about conference play in PL basketball is that you see everyone twice. Perfect measuring stick to measure improvement and ability to make adjustments.
