Davidson is ranked #15 in the USNWR National liberal arts college category. Holy Cross is #33. With only 1971 students at Davidson it's like going to a Bowdoin or Middlebury on a full athletic scholarship.

"After a great call . . . . " the last 2 posts. I guess Coach MM is burning up the phone lines!

I'm fine with the coaching staff reaching high (see our football recruiting) but hope we receive a commitment or two in the next couple of months. Every other PL school has at least one '24 commit (19 in total) led by AU with 5, and Bucknell and Navy with 3

Couldn't agree more. I would hope to see at least a couple in the next couple of weeks or so. They need a strong class for '24. Losing 3 starters (I think McCormack will start) representing a lot of minutes and points.

HC's recruiting coordinator moved on. Take time to measure twice and cut once. It's a big commitment so make sure the staff has it all together before pulling the trigger.

I agree, but it's been 2 months since Green was hired. She has a fair amount of experience, including a spell as interim HC at Fordham. Some results would be welcome. Not in panic mode, but the pace for '24 commits has been picking up over the last couple of weeks and some worry that many of their know recruits have multiple offers.

5"10 SF, from James Madison HS, Va. Been awhile since we got one from Madison, (Marygrace Jay, who only stayed a couple of years & Christy Cushine) scored the winning basket in Madison's 4peat as state champs. Think she had offers from BU & Loyola

If she is an effective point-forward, she will try to replace BPC, if not soon, then eventually.
Too bad Bob F. is not around to try to handle her name.

I immediately thought of "Mr. E." (Entertainment) when I read that name.

I also thought of BU's Alex Giannaros when I saw our new recruit. Upon checking for the correct spelling of her name, I was shocked to discover Giannaros is only 5'5" tall. 5'10" and iniative around the basket works in the PL.

Giannaros made about 52% of her three pt attempts last year. If you can hit that kind of percentage, height doesn't matter much. With most of Boston U's good players having left, she may find it a lot tougher this coming year.

Don't know if it was an outlier, but she did make a lot more threes than twos. Hit 44% on the twos, compared with 52% on the threes.

First of the 3 meetings she killed HC with threes after HC got off to a decent sized lead.

Minch off the board, commits to DePaul. No surprise as she pretty much blew up in the AAU season with a bunch of Power 4(?) offers.

With the men making news on the recruiting front, where are the women ? Is the coach playing it cool and waiting for a special opportunity or is she ready to restock the roster in the next months considering we have 4 seniors graduating in 2024 - I personally don't mind it if coach MM is waiting on a couple of good ones but it will be interesting to see how things shake out

Who knows, the remaining known uncommitted offerees, Miller, Walker, Gormley & Oliver have pretty good resumes. I think it is unlikely that either Gormley or Oliver are headed to the Hill as both have gotten high major offers over the summer. I’m sure they are recruiting a number of other kids who don’t post their offers, pretty common on the women’s side. Hope we get a big or two.
Here is the know number of commits so far:,
American – 5
Army – 4
BU - 1
Bucknell – 4
Colgate – 3
HC - 1
Lafayette – 1
Lehigh – 3
Loyola -3
Navy - 3
