Yeah, but here's where I cut and pasted: genius.com/The-searchers-love-potion-no-9-lyricsYour correction is more accurate: P.S. With my great hearing, I always thought it was "gold tattoo" which still makes more sense to me than "gold-capped tooth." Whatever, good luck getting that voodoo doll! [Ouch!!]

And counting The big question is how much eligibility he has left.

Last season Drew shot 45.9%/37.4%/80.8%, played 30 games for a 23-9 team and averaged 4.8 rebounds, 6.2 assists and grew an inch to 6'1".

With regard to Lowder eligibility, he has at least two years and, perhaps three, depending on how his time at Lansing CC is counted. The article from the Lansing State Journal posted on the board several weeks ago seemed to indicate that it is three. Whether that’s accurate or not, who knows?
The WAC has rapidly changing membership. For ‘22-‘23 and’23-‘24, nine teams will participate in both years—Abilene Christian, California Baptist, Grand Canyon, Seattle, S.F. Austin, Tarleton State, Texas-Rio Grande Valley, Utah Tech and Utah Valley St. In ‘22-‘23, another 3 teams will be in the league (Lamar, New Mexico State and Sam Houston State). Those three will be replaced in ‘23-‘24 by Incarnate Word, Southern Utah and Texas-Arlington.
Conference RPI rankings in ‘21-‘22 were 17 for the WAC and 28 for the PL.

Last year, Lowder scored more points - and took more shots - than anybody in JUCO.
Tarleton State graduated its PG, Montre Gipson, who scored more points - and took more shots - than anybody on the team last year.

This article doesn't mention it but I believe Elgin Baylor went to Seattle.

I talked to the Dad after the blowup on the board. He’s not a bad guy. Loves his son. There are worse crimes. Drew just needed a little maturity back then. Hopefully he’s found it over the last few years.

The article from the Lansing State Journal posted on the board several weeks ago seemed to indicate that it is three. Whether that’s accurate or not, who knows? he should have two years left. He used up one of his years while at HC and then a second year at the juco this year. His season at EMU didn’t count due to the NCAA Covid waiver. That leaves him with two years of remaining eligibility.

Hopefully he’s found it over the last few years. Don’t recall seeing a thread on the board where Lowder’s father posted. But I seem to recall a thread where some posts had been made and then were deleted before I read the thread. Is that what happened on Lowder’s father’s post?

You can't make this up!
He's decommitted from Tarleton (check out Twitter if you want confirmation of that).
There's a photo of "Druzi" in the thesaurus next to "Head Case". What the hell was Carmody thinking when he brought this guy in?

He's keeping all his options open? I can't imagine what those must be at this point.
This is the second time in the last year of his peculiar journey that he has committed to - then de-committed from - a school in Texas. After his disastrous season at Eastern Michigan, he committed to Angelina College in Lufkin, then changed his mind and went to Lansing CC.

I don't see how former coach Carmody could have forseen any issues like this. If I recall, we were all pretty happy when he signed, and there was giddiness after his debut against Maryland.
I just would be interested in what his endgame is in his mind (and many others, for that matter). We've heard a lot of feedback from coaches; I'd be more interested in a study/survey from the players' perspective. What were their reasons for leaving? Any reasons not basketball related? Were they happy with their decision? Etc.

The Lowder migration from school to school is sad. Maybe, he now realizes HC was his best option. Obviously, HC was not the problem. The young man seems to be trying to find himself. Too bad he did not take advantage of all that HC offers. It is sad

Have "gun" will travel. I just googled that old TV series to make sure I remembered the title correctly. It ran for 257 episodes starting in 1957 and two of the top five cast regulars were Asian. Way, way ahead of it's time.

Perhaps Lowder should wire "Paladin" in San Francisco to get a tip or two about holding on to a job.
