Sometimes when recruits commit the coaches ask existing verbal commits to assist in recruiting others. Based on this and taking a look at the 5 who have committed the following players seems to be who the coaches are focusing on the most:
DB - Burton, Besselman, Inge, Woody, Carr OL - McAllen, Beesley, Caccese, Zack, Biel WR - Warren, Pope, Crite, Smith RB - Clerveaux TE - Dippre, Petitta, Faulkner DE/DL - Crowley, Stevenson, Beargie, Din-Mbuh, George, Lambert LB - Dunn, Dansdill, Spinogatti
I could be 100% wrong on all of this, but that's my take.

Thnx dh... 1 from each grouping would mean 12 commits
could this list expand with the 2 remaining showcases?

Let’s not forget we have no idea what the HC “offer” is for most of these players. We have a good idea who the full ride recruits are but a good chunk of each class is full of partial scholi kids and several that are “full pays/Preferred Walk-ones.” Those partials could be 85% - 20%. Some kids even tweet “offers” if they have a PWO “offer”.
Only our staff knows what we think the fair value for a player is and what other programs are “offering.” It is their job to allocate the dollars where and how they see fit. If we can land a kid for 20-30% less than what Bryant or UNH are offering, your might chalk that up to a recruiting win.

Honestly, while thrilled with the success of our program, I think we should be in a FCS league that offers full scholarships to a full roster and then we go compete

Not on dharry's conjectured list of most focused targeted. Harry, do you know if Dippre from PA is also being recruited as a DE?

I believe it’s as a TE. And Dippre is an absolute beast.

Honestly, while thrilled with the success of our program, I think we should be in a FCS league that offers full scholarships to a full roster and then we go compete I think the PL is the place to be. Two out of 27 sports had winning records (And Avery Labarbera just graduated from the other winning team) last year, so we've got 25 programs to build before blowing the PL due to the league being too weak, imo. Plus they aren't making Ivy League tribute conferences anymore. What if we move to a league where the schools are mostly large State Universities with ten times the students, ten times the alumni and half the sports as Holy Cross? They could bury us with NIL money and snicker at our Kelly Green trousers.🙂 We average 11.25 games per year during the regular season for each four year cycle and the post season is open ended. I think we can accomplish your goal with progressively more aggressive OOC scheduling. There is every chance the top three PWO roster members selected and coached by this staff will end up as productive as the bottom three scholarship players at the average FCS school.

Countdown to fall camp is on and the next 2-3 weeks will be crucial in building out the foundation of the 2023 class, I had some time to evaluate our top defensive prospects (with DHarry’s help pointing in the general direction). Below is my summary of our top recruits that I suspect would be either full ride players or heavy partial offers (75-85%).
Safeties: Top of the “Board” - Aidan Besselman, Harrison Keith, Hiro Carr. All three are long (6’1/6’2 180-190), athletic and very skilled ball hawks. Any of these 3 would be a great get. My due diligence tells me that our biggest competition for all 3 will be the top Ivy Programs (HYP). The all remind me a bit of Chris Riley on film. Bryce Woody is also very long (6’3/6’4) but not quite as athletic or fast as the above 3. I would think he’s the next tier behind these 3 on our board.
CB: Top of the board - Darren Burton and Max Tucker. I would love to get BOTH and we have the $$ in this class for 2 full ride CBs. Burton has said he’s deciding by July 30th and HC is in his top 5 (we think top 3) Tucker is a MA product and I think right there with Burton’s talent on tape. Both similar players to Jon Smith. George Inge and Cam Jones are also very good but not quite what I see in Burton and Tucker. Inge reminds me of Terrence Spence. We just offered Jones on July 16 so he’s come on our radar more recently.
LB: Drew Spinogatti, Tommy Dunn, Ross Dandsdill. All 3 are good players. I actually like Spinogatti the most on film as I think he runs the best sideline to sideline and is the surest tackler at ILB. Dunn and Dansdill are interesting as they are both taller (6’2/6’3) and could fill that Liam Anderson type role where the move around from LB to edge rusher. All 3 are very good players.
DT/NG: Top - Brice Stevenson and Jovan George. Both are tremendous interior defensive lineman. Already college level technique, explosive and disruptive. Ansel Din-Mbuh is just behind these two as he is a bit more raw but has a high ceiling IMO. I also think he has the versatility to play both 3 tech DT and DE.
DE: Jack Crowley is a phenomenal athlete and appears to be the only pure edge DE on this short list. We know HYP are likely out biggest competition for him. Lacota Dippre could be a fantastic DE but sounds like we want him as a TE. He’s the real deal.
