Am I missing something? This data suggests that the other PL schools are playing in lower-tier sandboxes.

Ignutz --
I think your comments are accurate with respect to: [1] good success in getting commitments from offered recruits, [2] many commitments to FBS schools and Ivy League programs, and [3] as of this moment, only a single commitment by an offered recruit to another PL school.
That does not mean that other PL schools are not competing. I have not kept track of actual numbers, but many of the HC committed recruits also had offers from other PL schools. This may be a slight exaggeration, but it sometimes seems that every recruit offered by HC also has offers from Fordham and Colgate. (I sometimes say to myself that Fordham and Colgate look at who has been offered by HC and then immediately offer these recruits as well -- but there are some cases where their offers were prior to HC's offer.) HC's success is testament to our excellent reputation, recent success in football, great leadership and effort by the football staff, wonderful facilities, alumni support, and other intangibles.

This may mean absolutely nothing.
I have reviewed the Twitter pages of all Holy Cross offerees who remain uncommitted.
I found 5 who posted about receiving an "official offer" from Holy Cross. Note that it is entirely possible that a recruit received an official offer but chose not to post it on Twitter. [One more has been added as a result of dharry's post below.]
One possible conclusion is that those recruits who receive an official offer letter are the ones being most actively pursued (but that is not definitive).
The 6 offerees who posted about an official offer are:
Offeree # 46 -- DB George Inge of New Jersey Offeree # 93 -- DE Xavier Perkins of Florida Offeree # 117 -- DL Andel Din-Mbuh of Texas Offeree # 135 -- DB Donovan Comestro of California [added following dharry's post below] Offeree # 140 -- DB Eli Thompson of Georgia Offeree # 144 -- DB Will Rubalcava of Texas

I was looking more into Brayden Holmes who visited HC.
He plays in the defensive backfield for Milton GA with a Clemson commit and another DB who visiting Alabama. They also have the #6 TE in the class of 2025 who’s a monster.
They lost their first game to a TN team who is coached by Trent Dilfer but their team is loaded. He’d be a good get. He’s long and physical.
Then again he referred to HC Holy Cross University. And Colgate as collegiate University. So…..

I just checked Holmes' Twitter.
He posted about his visit to Holy Cross on July 26. On August 6, he posted that he will be announcing his commitment soon.
This evening he posted that he had received an offer from Colgate. He corrected his earlier post that referred to Collegiate University.

Looks like HC is showing interest in this local star RB/LB from South High in Worcester.
For South High standout Angelo LaRose, winning is how to add to historic football season While attracting Division 1 interest and top-notch grades, the record-setting back remains committed to the Colonels Rich Garven Telegram & Gazette
South High running back Angelo LaRose and his father and coach Bob LaRose have been a huge winning combination for the Colonels. WORCESTER — In the classroom, Angelo LaRose hits the books hard as his 4.6 grade-point average entering his senior year in the highly competitive Goddard Scholars Academy at South High would attest.
As for the football field, well, the 5-foot-10, 205-pound running back hits the hole with authority and rewrote the high school record book last fall, rushing for 2,905 yards to eclipse a 10-year-old state record and setting six Central Mass. marks, including most points scored in a single season with 260.
It was a historic run, and one that is now history.
For South High standout Angelo LaRose, winning is how to add to historic football season Supply chain shortage has Central Mass. football teams scrambling for football helmets Here are seven things to watch as a fabulous fall of football approaches in Central Mass. Back to where it all began: Ray Cosenza 'excited' for return St. Bernard's as AD “We just have to win games,” LaRose said, repeating himself for emphasis, following practice recently when asked about his statistical goals for the upcoming season.
“If we put three points on the board, and they don’t score, that’s a win. It doesn’t matter about anything else.”
The Colonels certainly have been on a winning track since Bob LaRose was hired as coach at his alma mater in 2019 and his son elected to attend his neighborhood high school rather than follow a number of his Worcester Cowboys youth football teammates to St. John’s in Shrewsbury.
“That’s what he wanted to do,” LaRose said of Angelo, the 2021 T&G Hometeam Offensive Player of the Year and a Massachusetts High School Football Coaches Association all-state selection. “I think he would fit in at St. John’s, but he wasn’t afraid to start over and help build South High back up.”
So far, so great.
South's Angelo LaRose had defenders chasing him all last season. It's been one huge climb for Colonels The Colonels, despite having to practice three miles away from campus for two years while the new South High was being built (their locker room was a storage container Bob LaRose rented) have posted a 16-10 record the past three seasons, including going 8-3 and securing a spot in the inaugural Division 4 state tournament last year.
They were 6-60 in the six seasons prior to the LaRoses' arrival.
And the players — 70 strong, up from 42 last year — are focused and driven to ensure the Colonels continue their winning ways.
“I feel really good about it,” senior captain Noah Barrera said of the upcoming season, which kicks off Sept. 9 against Leicester on the Colonels’ on-campus, turf field. “We went into it with a lot of energy this year; worked hard in the offseason.”
So South is pointed in the right direction and drawing attention from football followers. No player more so than Angelo LaRose.
A quarterback in youth football and a receiver as a freshman, LaRose moved into the backfield as a sophomore and burst onto the scene by rushing for 791 yards and eight touchdowns in five games during the shortened Fall 2 season.
“He waited his turn,” said Bob LaRose, who as a senior helped South repeat as Central Mass. Division 2 Super Bowl champions in 1988. “All through youth football, Angelo waited his turn, he wasn’t the feature back.”
South High football coach Bob LaRose calls a play during a pursuit drill at practice last week. Six months later, Angelo turned in a season for the ages by rushing for nearly 3,000 yards and scoring 98 more points than any player in Central Mass.
LaRose had games in which he ran for 200, 293, 368, 383, 413, and, while averaging 13.5 yards on 33 carries against Worcester Tech in mid-November, a CMass-record 444 yards. His lowest output was 107 on 27 carries in a playoff loss to eventual state finalist Duxbury.

“That’s what I work for,” said LaRose, who, speaking of work, added 15 pounds in the offseason to his already sturdy frame that can cover 40 yards in a swift 4.59 seconds. “It’s what I want, to be the guy who is being game planned for. I want that pressure. I want to be the guy that everyone is worried about.
“That’s just what I’ve wanted my whole life, and now that it’s actually happening, I have the confidence to not get down when things go wrong. I just have to play my game, and if I play my game, everything is going to work out.”
Detracting the naysayers The spotlight and the limelight have brought with it both supporters and detractors, though.
There are those who mumble about how South’s schedule wasn’t particularly arduous last year or that LaRose got all those carries — 326 total, an average of 29.6 per outing — because he’s the coach’s son.
Dad, who has coached Angelo since he was a third grader, quickly counters those claims.
South High's Angelo LaRose is all smiles right after he surpassed the state single-season rushing record during a win over North last fall. First, Bob LaRose pointed out there has been no shortage of great running backs in Massachusetts who faced far easier schedules than South’s, and none of them ran for 2,900 yards during the 100-plus years high school football has been played in the state.
Second, his son got the ball a lot because, well, that’s what you do with a feature back who averaged 8.9 yards per tote.
“Outside of this bubble, for us it all really depends on what the kids think,” LaRose said. “And if it was an issue, we’d address it first, but everyone here says, ‘Feed him the ball.’ "
That said, the plan entering the season is to reduce Angelo’s workload, by about seven carries a game, in an attempt to diversify the offense.
The pieces are there as the line returns five of six starters and sophomore Ransford Aldi (6-3, 200) is back at quarterback. Juniors Xavier Morales (6-5, 290) and Anderson Amparo (5-10, 155) bring their varied skill sets to the backfield, and junior D’Andre McLeod and senior Michael Koranteng are inviting receiving targets.
“We’d like to not give him 30 carries a game, we’d like to cut that down substantially and spread it around, but if you run buck sweep on the first play and we score, we’re going to run buck sweep again,” Bob LaRose said.
And getting fewer carries doesn’t necessarily mean fewer touches as Angelo is an excellent receiver who thrives in space.
Colonels' cast is ever so supporting No matter, his linemen — tackles Julio Salinas and Andrew LaPlume, guards Chris Winfield and Lexi Estrada, center Aedan Gonzalez, and Barrera at tight end — absolutely love blocking for LaRose.
“It’s definitely great having an explosive running back,” said the 6-4, 350-pound LaPlume, a four-year starter and a captain along with Anderson, Barrera and LaRose. “I know as long as I get on my man for a solid second and a half, two seconds, he’s gone for a 90-yard touchdown.
“I’ve been playing with Angelo for seven years now, since youth football, so have a lot of experience with him popping off plays and just being a great player.”
Make that a great, two-way player.
South High running back Angelo LaRose flexes his muscles for the camera during practice last week. LaRose is also an elite defensive player. The sideline-to-sideline linebacker with a big motor ranked seventh in CMass with 90 tackles, tied for ninth with seven sacks and picked off three passes.
In fact, it’s defense first with one of the state’s top running backs, one who has had strong talks and remained in constant contact with a mixture of Division 1, 2 and 3 schools in Assumption, Bentley, Brown, Bryant, Columbia, Holy Cross and Wesleyan.
“I like to hit people,” LaRose said with a smile. “Hitting people is my favorite thing to do. That’s just what I like to do. I totally prefer defense.”
And whether it’s offense or defense, on the field or in the classroom, LaRose is a hit.

Let's say for the sake of argument that Angelo LaRose (1) is a really outstanding college football prospect and (2) he is interested in HC and applies. is admitted, and selects HC. I think that would really revitalize Worcester's interest in the HC football program--having a local kid star at a skill position
