After HC and Fordham who do you think will make a move to compete at the top of the PL next year ? I personally hope someone makes a significant move to strengthen the league. Colgate has a recruiting link here - only 9 commits so far for 2023 but their board claims a few are 3* recruits www.colgatefootballcollection.com/2023-recruiting.html

Maybe it will be Colgate, but few freshmen, even some 3 stars, rarely turn a team around. There are no obvious candidates that I can see.

Agree that Lehigh, especially if the new indoor practice facility gets built, will be a formidable competitor with the right coach. Years ago, Andy Talley, former Villanova coach, after playing at Lehigh said something along the lines, "They would be a top 10 program with scholarships." Perhaps he was not aware of the AI, but he was obviously impressed with the stadium and the acres of practice fields.

I think all the PL programs not named Bucknell and/or GTown have the potential to become better with their facilities, support, decent coaching etc etc.
If I were to guess, the next program to take a step forward (in joining HC and FU at the upper half of the league) would be Lafayette or Colgate or both. Lehigh will be in rebuilding-mode after Gilmore this year, Bucknell and Georgetown are both mired in problems of their own making i.e. no real institutional support or effort to improve their respective football programs.

The PL continues to atrophy as a whole. The issues with Bucknell or Georgetown are not going away as long as the PL chooses to act to their collective detriment.

Perhaps he believes a Big 10 experience will give him an NFL chance plus, no possibility of post season exposure ? If you can play, the NFL will find you. See Fitzpatrick, Ryan. That said, Harvard may not be everyone’s cup of tea despite the prestige that comes with the name.

Thanks, Breezy. We need CBs, he looks like another guy that plays on a loaded team and would be a good pick-up (see ex-recruit Brayden Holmes). It would be nice to get some guys between Maryland and Florida.
