If the guys play the way they have the last three games, they'll have a nice ride home!
If you believe in Ken Pomeroy's methodology (calculating offensive and defensive efficiency) here's how we beat these last three opponents
Lehigh HC's Defense won it as Lehigh's offense was much less efficient against HC than against other PL teams. HC's offense performed about as expected in comparison to other Lehigh opponents
Boston University HC's Offense won it, posting an offensive efficiency that was significantly better than what most teams enjoy versus Boston U HC's defense performed about as expected for a BU opponent
Army Looks like a combo, led by the defense. HC's defense held Army to 96.1 Off Eff versus Army's mark of 100.8 in total PL play. HC's offense came in at 102.0 versus Army's composite defense of 100.5
Of course we could look further into HC's numbers versus its other games
Great strategy but, for example, when our ladies are in a close game and time running down, we try to get it into the hands of Avery. Sometimes that's easier said than done because the opponent sure knows who the great free throw shooters are.
Any bet on HC hoops is a seriously questionable use of $ Maybe even the entire PL
Very inconsistent play we probably would not watch if we weren’t part of it
but I hope we can hit twelve wins 🙏✝️🍀😇🏀 even when it is a long shot
DraftKings now +15.5. +900. Pretty big move in 12 hours. I took the HC on the moneyline the last two games, as well as the line. Hadn’t bet them in weeks, but saw an improvement in the Lehigh game. Just small wagers to make things interesting. Bet the same tonite. Love the DraftKings app! Moneyline may be a stretch on the road, but 17.5 was a steal the way they’ve played the last 2. We’ll see!
I think tonight is a nice test for our improving team. Last 3 games we were behind at half and outplayed our opponents the last 5 minutes of each game. Different ways, as well. BU, we kept making shots to stay close and large number of blocked shots, a rarity. The other 2 wins we just out executed Lehigh and Army at the end. I think Colgate is the league standard as far as excellence the last 3 years. They have size (4 big guys on the roster), quick guards who penetrate and shoot threes and they seem to be very well coached. Personally, I think we need a lot more size and some better shooters but I am hoping for a close competitive game which will give our players our more confidence and bode well for the rest of February.
