In today's season-opening win over UCSB, Hahn led all scorers with 15 point (5 treys) and 5 rebounds. They play at USC tomorrow and at Kansas State on Tuesday.

He is a very talented player--was a real loss to the team in my opinion, but I hope he has a banner career at UN-O

I hope Mitch has a nice career there. Too bad he was homesick and ended up leaving - I feel he would have thrived with the new program. Oh well, hopefully we can a clone coming in Connor Niego.

As much as I wish him well, and hope he has a good career, I have no desire to hear about Mitch or his new team.

Sarasota. It was not a cover story. He was the only scholarship player in his class and it is my understanding that he pretty much went to class, studied and hooped it without a lot of social interaction with anyone other than his teammates. His presence at HC was primarily based on the interaction of his HS or AAU coach with CMB or ACBD and not any great interest in HC on its own merits. As soon as they were let go, he reached the decision to move on. His departure opened a spot for KC---slightly different skill set than MH but perhaps an equally good or better overall player. In any case, he's gone and I think most of the Crossporters wish him well. Hopefully Matt Faw and Connor Niego will bring some of the same attributes to the team that MH did.

As much as I wish him well, and hope he has a good career, I have no desire to hear about Mitch or his new team. Then simply don't click on the "Mitchell Hahn" thread and you'll be all set. He did come back to earth today with 2 points and 6 rebounds in a 10-point loss to USC.

I was very sorry to see him leave. I was at Albany and witnessed perhaps one of the best single game performance of any Crusader in the last decade - 44 points, IIRC. He could run, jump and shoot, and would have worked well in CBC's system. Heard that he just did not fit well at HC, which I will leave be. I wish him the best!

Tim Clifford averaged 18 points as a senior (2007-08), Simmons 17 as a senior (06-07), Hamilton 17.5 as a senior (05-06), Brown 15 as a senior (11-12), so there were many other very good performances during this period. What Kevin Hamilton did against Chattanooga is one of the best performances (maybe the best?) from an HC player during the 21st Century. I still haven't gotten over that Mississippi State loss, BTW.

It was inconceivable--yet it happened

As much as I wish him well, and hope he has a good career, I have no desire to hear about Mitch or his new team. I will likely take an occasional look at a Nebraska-Omaha box score similar to the occasional look I used to take at Bryant and UConn box scores. Not lamenting what might have been, but keeping half an eye on one of our own and hoping for his success.

Met him once; seemed like a nice, albeit shy, kid. Most of us watch games that have absolutely no connection to HC, so this seems harmless.

FWIW, I thought Mitch Hahn had great potential and would have prospered under CWC.
I also heard that Mitch was homesick from the get-go, as some kids are, but he never got over it and was like a fish out of water. Look at where most of our players are from and there was no one remotely from his background on the team.
I wish him all the best.
