Helms is the same HS class as Sluka. Looks like he was doomed to run the scout team

He's from SC so being a Clemson FB alum won't hurt him.

Had an offer from Arizona State at one point but not sure how real that was. Since - Lehigh, Colgate, Tenn Tech, Gardner Webb, Charleston Southern and a few D2. Flew under radar because he went to a lot of SEC camps and isn’t SEC good. Long, athletic, can hit.

Brayden Holmes 9th grade track times, while he attended a Catholic high school in Rancho Santa Margarita. Was a COVOD-shortened season. www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/Athlete.aspx?AID=16440829Have no clue as to whether those times are good enough for a 9th grader to help draw interest from ASU.

I wonder if another Holy Cross oferee, db Donovan Comestro, and Brayden knew each other. Donovan attends a Catholic high school in Rancho Santa Margarita.

LOIs sort that out very quickly. I watched Bergen Catholic blow out Cardinal Gibbons (NC). The announcers repeatedly mentioned the BC commitments. HC has one from their left guard...and he payed a key role in BC's running game in their 49-14 win. Nice to hear HC Mentioned in that context long with several Power 5 schools that also have BC commits.

Avon has a strong program in Ohio. They play Glenville this Friday- a team with 12 D1 commits, including two who have already committed to OSU.
He comes to us from a program with an established winning culture-- haven't seen him play, so I can't comment on his talent.

Updated
QB - Frattura RB - Clerveaux WR - Mullally, Warren OL - Woods, Janis, Biel, Nunnally, Beesley TE - Petitta, Dippre
DL - Robinson, Stevenson, George LB - Dansdill, Spinogatti, Santee DB - Jones, Holmes
19 commits, with 1 pending. If you include baseball/punter it’s 20. I personally believe 8 more commits. My guess - 1 DE, 5 DBs, 1 WR, 1 RB
I think you’ll see 2-3 more over the next 3 months and hopefully sign 22 in the Dec signing period.

Good summary, dharry13!
Assuming you are correct (and that all verbal commits sign), that means we are done at QB, OL, TE, and LB.
I agree we need another DE and several DBs. I can see adding 1 WR and 1 RB, but I can also see eliminating one of those (or a 5th DB) and adding a "best available player" regardless of position (but I don't know if the coaching staff would do that).

Not sure where Dippre will play. He acknowledged that he could very well end up on defense at HC. He could be a DE for us. He'd be a huge LB if he had the speed and mobility. Beyond my pay grade.

Commit #20 is Eli Thompson - he was actually #21 because #20 hasn't posted yet, so the poster from before was partly correct.
We are waiting on one player to commit at this point.
