Clearly, Eli is a 2-way player. "Check out my highlight - hudl.com/v/2JCP4K7 receptions- 110 yds, 1 TD 4 Carries- 86 yds, 1 TD 1 pass- 20 yds, 1 TD 7 tackles 4 PBU" ^^^ These appear to be for the Sept 17th game.

Given those HC already has committed, I would image #20 is someone special.

An earlier highlight reel has him at a different Rome HS playing QB. I’m guessing it was a smaller school in a lower conference and as the best athlete he was put at QB

Commit #21 is Sterling "Stu" Smith from IN.
DB - had about 10 offers. We are all caught up with Scott James commit signals.

He's 5'11/185. Had offers from Furman, HC, Colgate, Penn, Columbia, Fordham, Brown, St. Thomas (now D1), Valporaiso, some D2s.
He camped at HC. I see him as a Safety

Interesting factoid --
Of the last 22 offers made by Holy Cross -- from Offer #130 to Offer #151 -- Holy Cross has received 8 verbal commitments:
130 -- TE Luke Petitta 136 -- WR Charly Mullaly 138 -- OL William Janis 140 -- DB Eli Thompson 141 -- OL Sean Woods 143 -- ATH Cameron Jones 146 -- DB Sterling Smith 149 -- ATH Cam Santee
There are still 6 uncommitted in this grouping.

Best Twitter Commit video that I’ve seen. Welcome Stu. Here’s to a great career at HC - on and off the field.

I see him as a Safety So, with Jones, Smith, Holmes, Thompson which are likely safeties vs CB's? I think they are all HS CB's. I'm guessing Santee is a safety if he stays in the backfield.

Santee I think will be an LB. I personally see Thompson, Jones, Holmes as a CB and Smith as a safety. I think Holmes or Jones could also move to FS.

With some injuries to seniors on the current roster do we think any will come back for another year?
I think we have about 15 seniors??? that could be invited back for another year, not sure how many want that option?
How many slots are we likely to use?

I think you’ll see 8-12 Seniors come back. Hard to tell exactly right now but that’s about the number. Which will then determine the size of the overall recruiting class. Class could range in size from 25-29 IMO.
