I doubt we'll see many Lehigh alum at the game, if any. I hope they are running some promotions (one may not be enough) in Worcester for locals to attend.

It will be interesting to see how many fans we draw to Fitton Field in our two remaining games. One should hope that attendance will be good based on HC having its best team in decades and with many fans introduced/reintroduced to HC football in the Fordham game. Here are some late season games Nov 8, 2019 Lafayette= 5,236 Nov 23, 2019 Georgetown= 7,152 Nov 6, 2021 Lafayette= 6,514 6 days away, but next Saturday is supposed to be 67 and sunny. And every Worcester Public School student and teacher will receive a complimentary ticket. (Not sure how those will be distributed.) |

Are we really giving tickets to public school kids but not to Catholic school students?
I guess the student goes for free but parents must pay?
In any case- let's hope hundreds of them choose to use the tickets

I'm guessing it is elementary school kids getting tickets. HS students would be "recruitable students." Good old NCAA rules..

We need 3 top 100-150 DB's that can pressure WR's and stop the run, along with 2 exceptional DL with quickness
Once we have 5 in hand then recruit other positions

With Holmes decommitting they need 3 top flight DBs badly.
Right now they have 3 pretty good DL as verbal commits and two pretty good LB as verbal commits.
A lot will happen over these next 6 weeks.

The part we don't know is how many roster spots they are looking to fill. Currently have 22 verbal commits. What will the number be based on kids coming back? Kids leaving the program. 5 weeks....

And then again, he might be a terrific QB I checked that out when we first offered but he appears to be a straight QB in HS. He's got a lot of passing yds, throws down the field. Someone said we've moved one QB to WR this year so there's room for him. |

Harry, 2 questions; assuming we hold Smith and Cam Jones, are you thinking 3 more DBs? Eli Thompson is another Athlete that may be a safety or even LB. He looks like he converted from DB and WR to LB and TE as a senior. And, at DL we have Stevenson and George who seem to play the interior. Robinson is a DE and the other question is if you have a feel yet on Dippre as a DE rather than a TE? I don't know Ross's status for next year but Cave offer indicates we recognize need for pressure after this season. |

I think you'll see another DL - just offered James Cave last week. Why offer if there is no need in my opinion. I think you'll see Dippre at TE. Pressure off the end and DB play makers have to be the major focus for next year.
Resetting the deck (22 commits):
QB - 2 Frattura and Jenkins
WR - 2 Warren and Mullaly
OL - 6 Beesley, Gay, Woods, Nunnally, Biel, Janis
TE - 2 Dippre, Petitta
RB - 1 Clerveaux
DL - 3 Stevenson, George, Robinson
LB - 3 Santee, Dansdill, Spinogatti
DB - 3 Jones, Smith, Thompson
These are all guess, but I think you'll see 4 more DB's. That's what I'm guessing. I think you might see another WR. I think you'll see another DL. In my estimation that's another 6 kids to this class bringing the total to 28. Pure guess work, but that's what we do here. I think they need studs in the Defensive backfield badly.
If a player happens to decommit over the next 5 weeks I'm sure they will try to backfill at that particular position.

Thanks. No question DB worries me the most. Holding Smith is critical IMO, good player in key position and we need a lot more. For me DE is second most critical. TE seems to be jam packed for a position we don't throw to.

If you have 28 in the recruited class, plus 5-6 fifth year seniors, that's 33-34 players against a NCAA roster cap of 85 receiving fin aid of any amount. |
