Nutty. Will the Pac-12 try to poach Gonzaga from the WCC now, or will a lack of football make them less desirable than FBS schools? I hope Gonzaga stays in the WCC and continues to lead the league higher. I hope the Pac-12 remains west coast only. All these schools profess their devotion to the environment and now two are choosing to jet across the country for league games.

This is just insane. Of course teams make these ludicrous conference changes for the money, but all the extra money does is increase the cost of competing as it goes to higher coach salaries, increasingly luxurious practice facilities, etc.

P5 might as well just go to a national super league at this point.

And will be number one on the priority list ahead of coaches’ compensation and facilities. Not that the other two won’t be major funding initiatives.

Duke and Wake Forest would be great additions to PL football when the ACC ultimately implodes.

Now it’s the Power 2 and the Other 3 - it’s true that the ACC, Big 12 and Pac 12 suddenly being left behind - and our friends in Chestnut Hill are concerned

Neither Pacific, nor 10 teams. Fly all over the country. Classes and learning must really be a thing huh. When can we just call it the AAF and put the pro resources into these leagues. Fold the NCAA, stop the charades.

Eh, I don’t like the Patriot league travel, but a 5 hour flight includes a commute to airport, there 2 hours early and a commute from airport to hotel.
If the flights are on time.
Not great for a field hockey game on a Wednesday.

This could sound the death knell for the Big Dance, sooner or later, probably sooner.

Door to door, it is more than two hours longer from Michigan to USC than from Lafayette to Holy Cross, which is about four hours on a Saturday night.

This could sound the death knell for the Big Dance, sooner or later, probably sooner. CBS has paid a ton of money through 2032 for the dance, and you can bet they aren't keen on closing the door to stories like St. Peter's that draw eyeballs.
This is about football, not hoops.

How many colleges own their own planes? Florida and Clemson absolutely do. The new Clemson baseball coach took it with his family from Michigan.

Not sure about that given that the Pac 12 would likely take BYU, which is slated to join the Big 12. Other top targets for the PAC 12 would be Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and then further down the list San Diego State and Colorado State.

Other top targets for the PAC 12 would be Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and then further down the list San Diego State and Colorado State. No doubt they’ll be looking to add. At the same time there are a few PAC-12 teams remaining who may not be content with staying in a seriously weakened second-tier Power 5 conference. If the Big 10 can move to 16 by looking west, why not 18? There is even the possibility the Big 12 receives BYU (as scheduled) and raids some remnants of PAC-12 South. Like Utah.
