I feel you are asking posters to compare apples and oranges. I agree with the losses you mention under FCTG. However, they were not wins where HC appeared to dominate throughout. Are you saying a late game meaningless TD against HC's deep subs (3rd and 2nd string) somehow made this game close? Clearly with some questionable calls and season opening "rust", IMHO "everything" did not go HC's way. Saying that Merrimack's "almost" scoring earlier somehow made this a close game does not seem warranted. I got a little nervous in the part of the ballgame between the safety and the TD that iced it, which was a pretty long stretch of time where no one scored and HC kept the door open for a comeback with penalties (real or invented) and other things. Plus the continually freezing telecast really wore on my nerves after a while. Probably should have stopped watching and gone back later.

My view was constantly being interrupted and the replay is much smoother, to be sure.

I was at the game and didn’t have video glitches, just constant interruptions by 4 little kids either getting snacks, going to the bathroom, or both.
That said, I didn’t think we dominated while watching the game. I thought we had the better team but kept shooting our selves in the foot with some help from the refs.
When we got up by 21 and were covering the 20.5 point spread, I felt better only to see us blow a late TD and held my breath for the obvious next onside kick. No need for a Warrior juke.😉

Pre-game reporting noted Merrimack is not eligible for the NEC auto bid until next season. (90% that's correct but journalism resources are so thin these days it could be off by a year)
If HC is really good, and Merrimack runs the table after us (except for Harvard) and finishes 9-2, do they have a shot at an at large bid, assuming their post season prohibition is only for the league auto bid?

Did anyone notice where Colin Reynolds played? I just saw he was credited with a tackle and was the only freshman name I recognized. Maybe a kick-off?

He didn’t play. As is typical the stats are wrong. See my comment about Kreimer’s 4 tackles plus Joe P credited with one of Sluka’s completions among others. Kuz, Reich and Vaganek rotated at DE the entire game with Springer and Williams at NG. The final series was Ross and Townsend at DE with Dyer and Danolds rotating at Nose.
