Northwestern, unsurprisingly, is struggling in the NIL era. Over the last two years their record is 4-20. And Athlon predicted dead last (14/14) for the upcoming year before the scandal broke. Recruiting continues to be their greatest challenge. On the upside, it is BIG 10. The job will pay well and the expectations will be low, but man could that destination be a career-killer. It really hurt Dennis Green's career going 10-45.

Brief story on CBS Evening News tonight about the NU football hazing incidents. It seems like a lawsuit is looming with attorney Ben Crump at the side of a former NU QB who graduated in 2018.

Ben Crump is the ubiquitous plaintiff’s attorney You have to think Ben and Gloria Allred are having an affair of the mind if not the heart.

For every Luth HC has, A&M has dozens. Plus, the State of Texas; there's no State of Pakachoag.

For every Luth HC has, A&M has dozens. Plus, the State of Texas; there's no State of Pakachoag. A few years ago when Indiana wanted to get rid of Archie Miller there was a $10 million or so buyout clause. One phone call later Archie was sent packing.

It’s not Texas and there’s no big money involved but Stony Brook announced head coach Chuck Priore will not be coming back as head coach. stonybrookathletics.com/news/2023/11/13/chuck-priore-will-not-return-as-stony-brook-football-head-coach.aspxThe SBU football program’s pretty much in shambles roster-wise and the school’s administration is far more focused on academics BUT on the bright side the facilities are pretty good, the academic reputation of the university is very good, and the CAA is a strong FCS league. Also, Priore's current contract pays him $433,720 per year, not including incentives. It’ll be interesting to see what sort of candidates emerge.
