30 strikeouts for the Yankees in 18 ALCS innings. So painful to watch. I could go on a rant about the all or nothing mentality of hitters today

What a bunch of whiny losers, Boone says we lost because the roof was open, Severino says Astros were lucky Bregman's exit velocity only 91 while Judge had exit velocity of 106, ironically ball would've been a home run in only one park and we know where that is. They conveniently don't point out that they would've been shutout if the Astros pitcher hadn't throw the ball away. Seems to me the Astros are living rent free in the heads of the Yankees and hopefully they'll put them out of their misery this weekend.

After the Yankees beat the Indians earlier this week, you'd have thought the celebration outside the stadium was after winning the world series. People climbing stop signs and street lights, etc. etc.
Who knew that just getting out of the divisional round was cause for that kind of excitement. Yankee fans from the mid and late 90s were no doubt rolling their eyes.

One of the few positives from last night is that Oswald Peraza looks the part of the Yankees shortstop for the next 10 years. Why they had been playing IKF over him until yesterday, I have no idea. Of course, their other top prospect is also a shortstop.

Seems to me the Astros are living rent free in the heads of the Yankees and hopefully they'll put them out of their misery this weekend. Ironic coming from someone who is likely a Sox fan and clearly very emotionally invested in a Yankees series months after the Sox were eliminated. As for the Yankees-Astros relationship, I don’t think it’s the Astros living in their heads. They’re just much better at playoff baseball.

Sounds like a frustrated Yankees fan, must be tough to root for a whole team of Mr May's. As far as the Yankees go yes I root against them every day and anxiously await elimination day.

Plus the 3 game WC. I do think baseball should be DONE by October 31st IMO. My adult softball fall league even goes into November! They were still 20 years away from adding the Division Series when Fisk hit his HR. I remember being in the stands in 1996 when Yankees beat the Braves in Game 6. I believe the date was October 26th.

Interesting article in NY Post this morning about the whiny Yankees and how the Astros are living in their head, I guess you can't really blame them since the Astros have eliminated them 3 times since 2015 and when it's not the Astros it's the Red Sox. Where are the Twins when you really need them.

Also back in 1975, the ALCS and NLCS were 5 game series. 7 games didn't start until 1985. Blue Jays and Angels probably weren't fans of the expanded series. In each of the first two seasons of the expanded ALCS, teams overcame 3-1 deficits Neither pennant winner would have won under the old system.

Why are you reading NY Post articles in October and posting about them here when your team finished 21 games back? Let it go. Watch some college football. The Astros are a better team than the Yankees right now. No one is disputing this. Maybe the Yankees can win the next two behind Cole and Nestor and make it interesting for Yankees fans. Maybe not. But, if I was a Red Sox fan, I really wouldn’t care either way and certainly wouldn’t be reading the NY Post or making “Yankees suck, Astros rule!” posts here.

Astros sweep Yankees was no surprise to Yankees fans in NY. No tears. No weeping and gnashing of teeth. Only disgust & anger. Other franchises might be satisfied by reaching the playoffs. Not the Yankees and most definitely not their fans. Would hope there would be wholesale changes but sadly Hal Steinbrenner is committed to GM Cashman & the wimpy yes man , Boone. The arrogant batting coach is committed to the all or nothing approach. The way the Yankees have chosen to use analytics is a blight on this team. The pitching coach was the only bright spot.among the coaching staff. He was the guy who came through for the team. He is great. Maybe, he will move to his beloved Sawx. Hopefully, this loss by one Bronx team is a bad omen for another Bronx team a short distance from the Stadium.

I suppose that this schedule allows them to avoid conflicts with Thursday night and Sunday NFL action. Of course, weather can screw it up on them.
